@BomberHarris37: .Couldn't get my racing head on at all yesterday. Now feeling sore after crash in Poland & have a wrecked bike.Think I need a few days off 😖😑 He's hurt his arm and wrist. Really bad news for us.
-
I think as somebody has pointed out here 5months to build a stadium is a big risk during Winter. We will have to hope we do not have a bad weather with heavy rain, snow or wind and these are all things that can cause delays.

Glasgow V Rye House Sunday 13th Sept @ 3pm
mdmc82 replied to Gazc's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If Lambert races PL next year (hes not been too bothered about it this year) then it will be for whichever team offer him the most money. If he decides to ride in Poland then he wont race on a Saturday track -
Harris crashed in heat 5 in Poland. Ambulance was on track for him but with him being Harris, he's continued racing. Hoping he's okay

Cradley are making a joke of this meeting. They sneak another reserve in to heat 10 rerun after the other fell, then he gets injured and they bring the 1st one back in. They are then given ages for him to sort bike problems. Then as heat 11 is due to start, They can't find Neale. Another delay while the ref tries to find out what is going on. It turns out Neale has no other bike so is pulling out. Nice of Heathens to inform everybody else. We now have Cradley fans pushing the riders bikes. Couldn't make it up. Perks is then not out in heat 14 due to a hand injury (I'm sure it's nothing to do with the punch he gave the wall earlier) A very deserving win for Coventry Storm who did what they were there to do, race. They would have certainly have finished slot higher if they had been able to get all their meetings in. Still think they might fall short of the golden cup due to the abandonment on Rye House's part on Friday.

And yet it's fans of other teams that bring it in to everything. Not at all. I'm not expecting Coventry, Swindon or Belle Vue to win the league. Poole look the stand out team

Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015
mdmc82 replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
AJ's scores at Belle Vue have been good but he is very inconsistent. Zagar is a big miss for Belle Vue as he had been in brilliant form for his team before his injury. Definitely weakens the aces. -
Sky/GoSpeed made the 48 hour rule. They say it can't be called off on the day Agree though it now gives Newman, Janowski and Garrity more time to recover. However it also means more time for riders to pick up injuries before Friday.
-
The reason last time was the forecast wasn't bad on the Saturday. We have seen other meetings called off at shorter notice than on the morning since then so not sure where the 48 hours comes from. GoSpeed make up the rules as they go along. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Belle Vue V Swindon meeting tomorrow if it rains and they didn't call it off on Sat

I don't think SCB is hoping Newman is injured, neither are most Coventry fans. Wasn't it the Poole fans who laughed when Sarjeant needed an ambulance and some shouted "hope it ends his career" Classy. Luckily unlike you we didn't tarnish them as "typical Poole fans" as not all are the same.
-
I have only read he withdrew with dizziness not concussion although still has to be careful if dizzy after knock to head.
-
Is this still a 7.30pm start? Worked out better for me as I now have friends who can come from Chorley to watch it and stay over. They couldn't before due to school for the kids the next day.
-
Safety should always come first. Luckily Holder didn't collect Watt in heat 10 as he looked like he was going to and that was just in a 2 man race 😱 What happened 1st June was no fault of Coventry or Poole, it was down to Sky & GoSpeed.
-
Hardly a battering when the track when Coventry were refusing to ride. I recall us giving Swindon a great battering home & away in last years semi 😉

Well said 👍🏻 -
Have you forgotten what happened on 1st June? Coventry were told even though gale force winds and heavy rain, they couldn't call it off as not 48 hours notice (even though other teams have) so this time Coventry have contacted them due to terrible weather forecasts so that sky/gospeed don't cause that farce again.Belle Vue V Swindon is currently still no tomorrow as forecast is not looking so bad.

Please grow up. It's not about sucking up as you put it, it's about not moaning just for the sake of moaning. It's just as frustrating for Coventry and the riders who might now miss out on a golden cup place. You saw 23 for the 30 heats last night. How much money do you expect back? -
Coventry won't be a full team as sadly no Kylmakorpi but I agree, hoping the riders recently injured from both teams are fit to race on Friday. At least it gives riders a few more days now to heal. Fingers crossed their are no more injuries. I hope we see a good meeting, not affected by weather or Injuries.

I doubt Zagar will be racing. AJ is on standby -
Garrity also currently injured as in agony with his back.
-
Yes Magic & Newman should both be fine for Friday. Delay should hopefully give Garrity chance to recover from injury as well.

Well said. Some fans just like a good moan. A bit like those moaning about paying £2 more for seeing their EL team in the play offs. -
In fairness all the forecasts I have seen have said heavy rain Monday. We can't afford to have another farce like last time with a play off raced in heavy rain & wind. Will this still be televised I wonder
-
Sky said last time that it had to be called off 48 hours before. Otherwise it will turn out to be a sham like the last time the teams met. 100% chance of heavy rain on Monday. It's the right call
