What people are saying about the Leicester presenter was correct he was no good. What a shame ,it was such an opportunity to promote youth speedway!! Decent crowd why not interview Phill Morris so everyone knows what him and Neil Vatcher are doing.Talk to the 2 Nathans about winning last year and what the are doing this year.Interview Jez and Keith of Sponsor Speedway so joe publc KNOWS that things are happening in youth sppedway and THEY CAN help!! oh deary deary me what a waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steve povey replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Its the same for Nathan Greaves 14 in Febuary so he is in nomansland, he cannot ride his 500 in the junior leagues or amateur meetings. And hopefully when he is 15 a place in the National league awaits so hardly any RACING on a 500 except for the British Championship!! -
just a mention to all Mildenhall fans.. do come all to the British Youth Champinship meeting it really is a good days racing AND you get to seee all the talent WE DO have in Britain

This is fantastic news what is most encouraging is that Jon Cook has iniated this league which means promoters are realising that these kids are the riders of tomorrow, so well done to all involved and lets see more of these leagues in the rest of the country. -

Class Of 2012 - The Future Of British Speedway
steve povey replied to agdns's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Track time is at a premium in this country. the last two posts are right it si not easy to get plenty of track time for our youngsters AND not cheap.Just see what tracks charge for practice . Now i understand they have to cover costs like everyone does but we do not give our youngsters enough track time. Just have a look at Sweden and Denmark thats how to bring on the young talent. -

Thanks Phil for putting me right on the amounts, also i had no idea that the BPSA put 7k into the fund, when i see the money put in by Sky it does still seem chicken feed, like i said i admire what you and Neil do , i was at a couple of rounds and witnessed first hand how good you both are at encouraging the kids. So keep it up and see you soon at next years meets. -

I totally agree with everything said , so where is the help from the BPSA . Of course Neil and Phil do a fantastic job but where is the incentive to go for a championship when the prize is a voucher for £20 for oil!!! SO LETS GET REAL.... speedway is expensive, like all motorsport. So BSPA well done dor Neil and Phil they are great BUT ...... give the boys some financial help too YOU CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!!!!! -
Off course they should Matt . Don't the powers at be want to encourage our riders of tommorrow. We have plenty of talent out there but its SO expensive. So give the young riders an incentive.
