  1. Primarily it was rider availability with there overseas commitments that made a Friday the preferred choice.
  2. Have to agree on averages it is an antiquated practice. However there would need to be some system in place in order to have competitive team speedway what that is who knows. Making the product weaker as muted will in my opinion drive more people away, it was tried before and didn't work then , I know its said every year about this being the most important AGM but this year could be a defining moment on the future of British Speedway they need to be radical and brave in there desicions. And the outside body running the sport and making unbiased desicions would be a start and would go some way to restoring some credibility.
  3. Grant Henderson Tankers sponsor several riders northern based and not specifically at Glasgow. They are major sponsors at Glasgow but also Berwick , young Kyle could do a lot worse than them and will be well looked after, There will be nothing else in it , i have no doubt young Kyle will line up for the Comets next season with his Grant Henderson Tankers sonsorship on board.
  4. Successful teams have been decimated season after season , price to pay unfortunately for being successful.
  5. We sure do, I once congratulated Edinburgh on something once, can't get anymore out of character than that .
  6. Me as well think it is because the weather is a lot colder and they are losing there colour and know the end is nigh.
  7. Agree with you on Stewart haven't spoke to him for a while now.
  8. Who do you not talk to, haven't heard you being on the blower to anyone at Glasgow yet .
  9. Your obsession with Sarjeant is pretty boring now , if you want to fantasize about him thats your prerogative but do it in front of the mirror in private and spare us the obsession.
  10. Don't recall anyone at Glasgow counting there chickens , infact it was the opposite were we played our chances down. But i get what you mean in terms of tonights result albeit you must be quitely confident on completing the job.
  11. Day's of buying riders have come to an end asset base will be rendered useless and riders are self employed and will ride where it suits them best. All of the above will come to fruition soon.
  12. Shocking they are some real lowlife's out there young lad must be devastated.
  13. Diluting the product is not the way to win fan's back as reducing the fixture list wasn't this year if indeed this is the case, it never worked before and I will hazard a guess that it won't work again. The whole product needs a good shake up with fresh ideas not going back over old ground again and again and again.
  14. Yep i would have Jack in the team showed glimpses of potential it is a trek for him though so we shall see. Yes all have ridden for us at one time or another.
  15. Replace Harris with Kerr and replace Vissing with Summers and replace Sarjeant with Coty jobs a good un . Although based on this year would doubt Starke will be back. What make up the leagues and averages will be in who knows but I agree with getting rid of the average system it is far too easy to abuse grading is the way to go. But regardless on structure averages etc if it is at all possible to get Craig Cook back next season then it is a no brainer for me.
  16. Spoke to Paul on Sunday should have popped over the home straight we were more or less at the starting gate.
  17. Oh dear you obviously never saw the track before Sunday and the weather we had.
  18. Choosing him in heat 15 still wouldn't guarantee we would still have been in the competition does it Blobby, unless you have been out drinking wine with those gypsy's again and they told you this as they seen it in there crystal ball.
  19. Think most if not all have been gracious in defeat as well as victory, then comes along Jenga with the IQ of a laboratory rat to spout his usual p*sh which in turn will descend the thread into carnage. I was being unkind to the laboratory rat btw comparing it to Jenga it probably in all likelihood has a higher IQ.
  20. Trying to deflect blame it was an inappropriate comment to make but not unsurprising. He would have been better looking at our teams failings rather than a petty comment on the referee , didn't hear him mention anything about the desicions that went our way at the home meeting. Yes it lacks class and should just be congratulating our opponents on there victory rather than highlighting desicions he alleges went against us.
  21. We have history on our signing policy unfortunately. But i would rather give credit to Workington what a season they are having and is long overdue for them and there fans. Our problems are of our own making will lessons be learned.
  22. You could also look at the points Workington threw away at the start of the meeting and Proctor coming off whilst second. These evened themselves out, what i do agree with is Harris has been one major letdown.
