Any shout of leaving Kye Thomson out is crackers given how he finished the season. That’s coming from his harshest critic in the early part of the year.

Where is the Dan Thompson stuff coming from? Just that with the supposed new 8pt rule he’d be looking for a new club? I could see him binning the championship next season if that’s the situation.

I might suggest that the BV crowds wouldn’t change much then. We all know that speedway crowds are predominantly people who would go regardless of the ‘level of rider’. There are some exceptions to this obviously but I don’t think the impact would be significant.

Is it time the authorities bite the bullet and create a single league without trying to entice GP riders? Would it impact crowds that much if the highest average riders were essentially the top Championship guys now? I’m not so sure.

Without knowing the ins and outs of any proposed points limit changes/other rule changes i'd be happy enough to see a good few of the 2025 team return with the exception of MPT. Also don't see Palovaara returning on that high an average. Could we persuade Sam up the road for one last hurrah? Mr Riss fancy a return? I'd keep Loftus and maybe add Wood alongside him at reserve. That could be quite a powerful pairing on a fairly modest average.

Glasgow fans moaning about another track? Well i never. However did the sport cope until the panacea racetrack at Springburn was born? Some of the Tigers -appear to have become the self-appointed protectors of ‘proper speedway’. They need to get over themselves a bit.

I was hugely critical of Kye Thomson at the start of the season as I felt we weren’t getting enough from him. He’s been brilliant in the second half of the season - real aggression and speed in his racing. He’d be the first rider I’d have back next season. Great to see and made me eat my words.
