After yet another disappointment of a rained off event Dragons Amateur Speedway hope to finally get their season underway with a programmed event at The Old Gun Site, Sittingbourne on Sunday April 1st, and no, it's not a joke guys and girls !!!! The event is open to members and non-members alike and will cater for all levels of ability. There is also the option of just practicing, this will take place inbetween the programmed heats. The start time for this event is 1pm so if you fancy a ride out with the Dragons then book your place by contacting Julie Tutton on 07920 002785 Entries close this coming Sunday (March 25th) so don't risk losing out, get on that blower !!! Entries are also being taken for the next event after the above, this will be at The Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn on Sunday April 22nd, entries for this to be made in the same way. Speedway Ride n Slide Dayz are pleased to announce the very latest dates for their experience days, these are as follows: Sunday April 11th @ Beaumont Park, Leicester with track time from 11 till 3 Friday May 4th @ The Arena Essex Raceway with track time from 11 till 3 Sunday June 9th @ The Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn with track time from 11 till 3 Sunday June 23rd @ The St Boniface Arena, Plymouth with track time 1 till 4 ** Due to the restricted track time numbers for this event will be limited to fifteen riders Wednesday July 11th @ Beaumont Park, Leicester with track time from 11till 3 Friday August 17th @ The Arena Essex Raceway, with track time from 11 till 3 ** Due to numerous requests this will be a ladies only day Sunday November 11th @ The Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn with track time from 11 till 3 Please watch this space for more dates to be released in the next week or so at different venues. Following the disappointment of the weather affected session at Sittingbourne last Sunday, Dragons Amateur Speedway will be holding their next event at The Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn on Sunday 18th March. This session is open to one and all, no need to be a current Dragons member, so why not come along and make the most of our licensed Training Instructors ! at without a doubt, one of the best race circuits in the UK. Start time is still to be confirmed but is very likely to be 11am and will cost £40 for members and £45 for newcomers. So, "lets get this party started" !!! See you at the Arena ) Russ

The Speedway Ride n Slide Dayz season opener at The Arena Essex Raceway on March 22nd has now sold out following a massive amount of interest. Following the success of our events at the home of the Lakeside Hammers we are over the moon and looking forward to picking up from where we left off last term. Yet again we are excited about working with a cross section of ages and experience and are pleased to have more fathers joining us on track with their sons, likewise a couple of our attendees who will be celebrating their birthdays with us. This really is the whole 'speedway experience' taken to the next level, in fact two of our customers that took their first rides aboard a speedway machine at Arena last year have since gone on to purchase equipment of their own and have ridden with some noteable success with the Dragons Amateur Speedway Club, hats off to you both, Alec and Mark, we look forward to seeing a lot more of you in the coming season. Over the next few days we will be booking some further dates at the Essex circuit, including a special 'ladies only' day following numerous enquiries.
