Are you basing your comments from a first hand perspective. I thought your wheelchair had broken down so you couldn't get down there this season. -

Get fed up with what?Leicester was and is a Saturday night track, that's what the public wants,to suggest that we only ride on Saturdays to get an unfair advantage with riding against understrength teams is beyond ridiculous! -

Yes it was a very decent crowd tonight and some good racing to boot.........seemed to be plenty of dirt on the outside for a change.I thought Nicholls was bloody good tonight for Belle Vue. -

I love Norrie he's one of the few managers who tells it like it really is......if under performing riders don't like it perhaps they are in the wrong profession. -

If you think that was a "gate and go" meeting you sadly don't know too much about speedway as I have always suspected. This was a half decent meeting with several good heats the best being heat 8 with a fantastic tussle between Wozniak and Garrity.I say speedway meeting rather than match, quite frankly there wasn't a match at all,Coventry for the best part were worse than awful in fact I would say pathetic and without Harris making a few good passes Cov would have suffered an even worse drubbing than they actually received! You know what I've just had one of best and funniest afternoons in my recent memory.......Cov better than Leicester.....NO CHANCE!...wooden spoonists in my opinion! -

Why should it be cheaper? There was loads of challenge matches and spurious cup competitions in the seventies and eighties...did they reduce prices then....of course not.If you were a long term fan of the sport you would know that! -
I'll have a pound at 16-1...kerching!
-
On the Bet365 website Leicester are 4th favourites at 8-1.

If You Could Bring Back One Rider...
mrcts replied to TonyMac's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I have to agree..........I saw all the greats during the seventies and eighties at Leicester but for me Cookie was worth the entrance money alone. -
How and why and when did the asset system start?......when I started going to Leicester Speedway from the mid seventies til we closed after the 83 season there was no such system it was like footy ie full transfers and the odd double uppers like Bob Garrad from rye house etc.
-
Including the likes of Auty,Birks,Roynon and perhaps Charles Wright will at least give every team a good rider at number 6 unlike the patently unfair situation last season where certain teams were at a massive disadvantage.

One ridiculous post after another! If you're trying to provoke a reaction I wouldn't waste your time......

This from Jason from the Leicester website. To all the Leicester Lions supporters, team members and officials. Firstly, I would like to say how happy I am to be riding for Leicester Lions this season. I am really looking forward to the new challenge of a new club. I already know this club is very professional with all their organisation and endless work they have put in with my visa troubles, I hope this is the only problem I have this season. I would like to personally thank David Hemsley and his team for all their hard work over the last 3 months sorting this out. I think the team David and Norrie have put together is a really solid team. I know all the boys are racers and will give 100% all season and that’s all I am sure the club and supporters can ask for. I am looking forward to working with Norrie Allan this season, he has a lot of good things for the club and what he doesn’t know about speedway isn’t worth knowing. I am really sorry I wont be at press day to see all the supporters but I hope to see you all soon ready for the 1st meeting.

when has any written law been passed with the consensus of the people? I certainly have never been asked if I want that law being passed or not.
-
I see Jason Doyle has tweeted he his hearing positive news. Fingers crossed it's regarding his visa.
-
Hearing a big whisper that Doyle has had his visa turned down and BSPA not backing him

Capitalism puts food on the table for everyone.....Socialism encourages people to expect other people to support them....I would scrap the so called "welfare state" tomorrow for those who have never contributed to it!The worst word in the English language is "Benefits".. Who exactly does it benefit, yes the great unwashed! The top 1% of earners pay almost a third of all income tax collected........so in fact they are paying a lot of people to loaf in bed everyday!
-
Why should they not avoid paying tax.?I certainly would do the same......why would I want my cash wasted on job dodgers and scroungers?
