They shouldn't have shown that crash again! Some serious injuries I think for Doyle! Hope he is ok! Fingers crossed! Praying for Jason!
-
He's duel nationality not officially but it basically is,?he has a heart for both! I don't see how anyone can moan over and over about this stupid subject! And a healthy crowd but it does look half empty! The track looks good and later on would be brilliant!
-
Get ready for a lot to say...why can we not have the Aussie Commentaters every week! Great stuff!
-
Programme is the best programme in speedway! Simple as that! After hearing Perason on WM last night I think we will be fine soon!
-
I left at 9:15 knew what was going to happen, the track was in a really bad state and they just seemed to be making is worse! Shouldn't have been on and it's time to make call offs more acceptable and easy to make! That track was shocking from the off and dangerous as it proved with the crashes we had tonight! Should have finished at heat 8 and we should have give it another go cause it's only fair for us heathens after 6 years of support!
-
Brummies Season Finished and they just left the track a state for us is in the final! Never seen anything like it here....tractor out after two heats and again after 4! Ruts everywhere. I know it's been wet but it looks like clay on the outside! No track expert if someone could correct me if its the best it can be in these circumstances then I apologise. And Heathens have ran out of riders to call upon cause the guys at reserve are not up to much standard! Here at the Heathens tonight and just listening to BBC WM and Just been said that the management will meet after half term next week with interested parties and he said they have had intrest. They are all confidential and we won't know just yet! Maybe worth listening to after if your are not able Ad if it's in Iplayer! Can I just a say this has been difficult with the track and twice heathens have been a 5-1 and a eagles have fell and got up straight away! Brilliant stuff from the away team!
-
With the weather the way it is I don't think it's got much chance! Hopefully it stops raining and then some decent track work could get it on! Dreading it, don't care about the result just want a little information and less secrecy!
-
No point carrying on...its been good! Not sure what I'm going to do!
-
It's will be a fairly sober night on and off track!

Well there goes the Merry Hill chance of a track! Another peice of land that will lie dormant for another 10 years because Dudley Coucil are only interested in building Hotels! I think it's over for the track search, don't see how we will ever get one now they have left us! They have done a lot for the club and we've had the best we could for 6 seasons but I don't see now how it can continue! Unless Nigel will still give involvement to the track search then we are back at square one and it's taken ages even to get Dudley council to talk and now the person who is involved could no longer be! We should genuinely just scrap Dudley and try Sandwell again, weve traveled 10 miles every fortnight for 6 years so why does the track have to be in cradley! Euromillions for me tonight and I'll build it with that! Only way I see it happening with a sugar daddy! Don't know who I'll follow, if they do close I will support another team and couldn't ever go back!

I'm just not sure now where I'm going to watch speedway! I just think we have run our course and it's over again. It's great to support Cradley still but come October every year we have this happens and to be honest to plan for next year on when my shifts need to be changed cause the day changes and how we have to travel to meeting changes just gives the club no consistency for the fans but we never have had this option because the club rolls through year contracts instead of signing deals which last 3-5 years! At least then we would know we were OK for 3-5 and then we have more time to find somewhere of our own! I think the reason we left Monmore was down to the Wolves and nothing else, we could offer speedway at a lower price and it was hindering the Van Strachens commitments to them! His full focus will be on them next year which some Wolves fans have mentioned on these boards. As for the future regarding a track, I just don't think the club have let the supporters know what we can do to help. They have just kept quiet to keep us quiet, maybe that is what's needed so nobody know nothing but the fans get right behind the club on the track but off it we are not able to. The fans have never attended meetings for land, never been able to put forward a pledge to the council or collected signatures of support for a track. One thing that annoys me more than anything is they only seem to try to find a track near cradley! We've traveled 10-12 miles for 5 years to watch them so why not look for a track in Wednesbury Oldbury West Brom Walsall why dose it have to be in Cradley or Near to it it makes no sence. Id love to pledge £200-£500 to be a parts of a supporters owned club! Not to make money but to be fully part of it and I think this is why the supporters trust have got to look at. Thing is it will take a lot of people's time up which I ultimately don't have!

A point emphasised by when he brought over his GP engine for the British Final!

Cradley V Coventry (nl) - Weds 08/04 - 7:30pm
Hunty replied to ellioth4's topic in National League Speedway
Heathens are going to towards the top this year but no chance of winning with performances like the last two! I hate to say it but I dont think we have chosen the right top two for this Perry Barr track! Clegg to me may just slightly be out his depth at number one, maybe a season to soon. Greaves has a long way to go to back him up. Thing is, I have had it good for the last 6 seasons and no its looking tough I already starting to worry! As much as its close, I dont like loosing or being push by the sounds of things! Long season ahead! Really nervous on and off the track! -
Im a Heathen fan and wish we would stop with the Wood everywhere we are tennants! Its Perry Barr and Monmore Green and we should respect that and not have this ill feeling like we own the place and were taking over! I also hope that if we ever get our own statdium we dont end up giving it the Dudley Wood name, the club seems to forgot that there was 20 odd years where nothing happened and always looking back may hinder us looking forward. Things like wanting the same as it was before and a stadium in the dudley borough and having the track exactly the same! Im 24 never went to Dudley wood but Heathens and majoirty of speedway fans have to link everything back to the past when they all say 'The Gud Ol' Days' but for some it simply the case that these last 5 seasons are all that they know! We should be respectful to our current and past home and treat it as it is...a rented property which we cannot decorate with our own colours and history! A little rant sorry! As for Wednesday, Brummies deserved to win, they were better than us simple as. The term lucky which has been banded about on twitter is completly untrue and a pathetic response from a set of fans and a team that is not used to loosing! I came away from PERRY BARR disapointed, I didnt like loosing and it made me realise how things could have been over the last 2 years when we have had so much sucsess. I was brought back down to earth with a bump as it all looked to easy again last week but as I always say, this NL is great fun and qaulity and I dont want to move up a league for a while yet! Im watching the World Champs of the future I belive and watching them develop and entertain us like Wednesday night for £11 or £120 a year is right bang for your buck! Well done Brummies and Heathens...but most of all the National League whos AGM might just have saved speedway in a few towns and citys this year!

Birmingham Vs Cradley (ch) 18th March 2015
Hunty replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
My post was writen a little quickly on my phone so a bit of it is a bit out but Ellis has rode Perry Bazrr before but I ment as its not his home track as of yet it was his first outing. In regards to 'Pick of the bunch' comment I was being a bit tounge in cheek as thats the way many outsiders to the NL see the Heathens. They see that we attract or cherry pick the best which is could be said as true but is not always the case. I watched the Brummies a few times when work comitments meant I couldnt get to the Heathens so I got my speedway fix watching it at Perry Barr with EL, It is a tight track in my eyes and I do belive your right in that there is no home advatange because the amount of time i watchs the Brummies get thumped at home was quite resounding that year. And as for Coventry in a fortnight, I didnt know Sarj wasnt riding for them and when you look at the team it not actualy as strong as I thought! -
Birmingham Vs Cradley (ch) 18th March 2015
Hunty replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
The Brummies have no previous NL experiance and the Heathens as many say 'Have the pick of the bunch' when it comes down to team building. Clegg is a class act, I have said since he rocked up with Greaves two year ago that these two lads have what it takes. Both now have reserve spots in the PL and its a huge testiment to what Cradley have done for these kids. And the belt keeps supplying riders, Williamson is another one who is now in his second season after starting from reserve and looks to be pushing a heat leader spot. I think the Brummies have a good chance this year but they had three riders who were new to the sport last night and a number 1 who struggled to ride Perry Barr for the first time and Perry Barr is difficult to ride as its a very tight track! Once again Heathens fans are estatic with the result but left wondering how long can this continue. Next week I hope is closer and the 8th of April may give us a firmer test when Coventry roll into Perry Wood (Sorry). Tom Perry was nearly caught of 15m from Clegg which is suprising as Perry as a Heathens asset has shone for the Green and White (And now red???) Ommer Um -
The lad deserves it, he has been fantastic over the last two seasons, from reserve to captain in that short space of time is quality! Awesome on the track but one of his best attribuites is how he is off it...on the terraces chatting to fans, turns up to parties and functions! He really is a great lad and It has been a privilidge to watch him grow in the Heathens Green and White! Heathens are with 11.13 remaining, I could see them going top heavy and have Dan Greenwood back this year on 7.27 which would leave 3.86! He was fantastic for Coventry in the later stages of last year! Pretty sure Matt Williamson is taking a year off for Moto Cross so maybe rules him out?
-
The point limit has made it look tighter on paper!
-
Im pretty sure there is a Limit on £ per points, so if a couple of clubs are willing to stump up some money he could end up anywhere! The addition to being with the Heathens is sponsership deals riders can get, the fans 50/50 is £150 to the winner and £150 to the riders each home meeting! So there are alot of benifits to being at the Heathens but what the club provides could be the same as what Brum provides!
-
Points limit needs to be lowered to around 39.5 and in the NL a lower points Limit of 36.5 needs to be in place! Reserves should be both under 4 averages.
-
Im very pleased we will be racing in 2015...But 'All Smoke and Mirrors' springs to mind! I just think were never told the whole truth. Im not saying the Heathens fans are lied to, just we are lead to believe things.
-
Well this is going to take some filling! Epic news for NL Speedway, 11 Teams and some big names in what could be a great league if the rules can be sorted to make the teams very even! Micheal Neale at reserve for the Heathes, great start well happy to have him on board but what I find a bit strange is that we have only just found out we in the NL but we make the first signing! How long have the Management known is my question...
-
The HSSC are looking to start back up, can only be a good thing!

Who knows...This information is locked away in a top secret location where only three men know the code to the door! Ive emailed Sandwell Council and they responded with a the normal, we would support any venture in the area. Media reports also stated they would welcome the Heathens with open arms about four years ago. If you type 'Sandwell council cradley heathens' into google there is a PDF file with information where CRASH tried to get the help! Worth a read, hopes and promises broken!
