  1. I really wonder if the FIM should consider to make neck braces mandatory in our beloved sport. From the top riders as far as I know only Emil Sayfutdinov and Michael Jepsen-Jensen do wear it. http://www.dirtrider.com/features/the-neck-brace-should-you-wear-one Darcy Ward's accident is only the last of to many bad accident with severe neck injuries. Feedback of any kind will be interesting to read. I made my request already directly to Philip Rising and Kelvin Tatum. Navigator Rolf from Switzerland
  2. such a SHAME ! I wonder what the real reasons are that Emil has to withdraw from SGP 2014 ??? Such a nice lad and talented rider, last year he was so close and then all this negative things happened to him. I still cannot believe that he won't be able to compete this years World Championship ????
  3. never my friend, Zagar's exclusion was 100 % correct, he shut the door against Emil !
  4. Again I want to add, 100 % Adrian Miedzinski's responsibility !! Poor Emil, really hope he will be fully recovered as soon as possible, really hope Ref's will start to punish such behaviour, so far most of the time they just disqualify the rider on the outside .... Again, in my opinion, Miedzinski has decided this year's Championship, Tai Woffingen will now be able not to take every risk in the remaining 3 rounds and still be Champion ...
  5. and there is alway the question of taste, how many tattoos on which place on your body, isn't it Philip ? Not a fan of Beckham but his tattoos do look more distinguished, nevertheless, Tai is an interesting character ... I live in Switzerland, but have never heard of SWISS Red Bull Doctors ..?? is it Austria or just fantasy ? Really hope Emil will be back in best shape soon, but as you say, it will take a miracle.Dont' forget to mention Miedzinski unfair attack (Emil into the fence) which very probably has decided the SGP !Hope to read more about that subject in Speedway Star: too often the riders who is on the outside gets excluded, tell it to all FIM-Referees, please !
  6. Maybe you're right, but I had expected a close battle till the last GP. Emil had more pressure obviously than Tai. Tai probably a bit from the gates. For my heart I had prefered Emil Champion 2013 and Tai next year ....Emil lost his father only last May, showed nerves already in Prague. I'm still upset about Miedzinski's action ..... and of course, I like both Emil and Tai as great young riders
  7. and Miedzinski's unfair attack against Emil last Saturday decided very probably the Championship, show him at least the RED CARD ! he putted him into the fence ....
  8. Mr. MIedzinski decided this years World Championship when he put Emil Sayfutdinov in the Torun safety fence. My opinion after watching the replay on youtube .... poor Emil ! Don't give up ....
  9. From my view Miedzinski decided this year World Championship through very unfair riding against Emil Sayfutdinov ...... so sorry for Emil, what a pity !
  10. Would be cool to see GP action in Landshut, but are the german promoters interested to organise such an event ?
  11. Greg Hancock (if not in the top 8), Andreas Jonsson, Martin Vaculik, Darcy Ward
  12. If it will be LONIGO again, which will be better than Terenzano (don't forget the Pizzeria close to the stadium in Lonigo), dear Philip Rising, give the responsible the message: do not have an italian SGP in the hottest month of the year. Forget July, let's have the GP in May or September. - not so high temperature, - hopefully track conditions not ultra slick, still nice weather there, holidays in the area will be fine ..... thank you for putting forward these arguments not in July but in the month of SEPTEMBER !!
  13. Zagar shut the door on Emil, he knew that he was behind, must have heard his engine, correct decision by the referee !
  14. Correct decision by the referee ! From my point of view, Zagar shut the door for Sayfutdinov (MZ knew that ES was just behind, must have heard his engine) Zagar's comment in front of the microphone "disqualify the referee !?" I asked 2 ex-riders, both shared my opinion, Matej Zagar was aware that he closed the door for Emil Sayfutdinov. Emil was coming with speed on the outside and would have passed with enough room left for him ..... Unluckiest guy of course is poor Andreas Jonsson . Bad injury because of this incident. Again, very good the decision by the referee ! Any comments from other people could be interesting.
  15. I wonder if it will happen, there seems to be a possibility for a GP in the Ratina soccer Stadium in Finland. next summer would be nice to go up there a watch a finnish GP. More news to come after GP Copenhagen. Check SGP 2014 Ratina Tampere Finland Support Page ..... Any comments about it ? PS: I live in Switzerland, closest GP is Terenzano /Italy. I visited once, that was enough. What a pity that the italian GP is no longer in Lonigo, which is a much better venue than Terenzano !
  16. I really hope it will be Chris Holder and not that entertainer Nicki P. Remember his antics in the Copenhagen GP, he played his game against holder and came nearly through. Hope that won't happen again in Torun. Keep my fingers crossed for a new World Champ ยจ!
  17. So I try again my first comment on the Italy SGP. Let's try to demonstrate via this forum BSI, that really should change back to Lonigo instead of less popular Terenzano. Not only the track, but the whole surroundings in Lonigo are much better ! Nice Pizzeria just outside of the stadium. Small city Lonigo has more to offer than Terenzano, when I visited 2 years ago I was not easy to find and more complicated to find our way back to our hotel about 30 kms away .. By the way, I think Martin Vaculik's disqualification after his crash was correct ! He mentionned, bad decision, Speedway is a hard sport. If all would ride as he does, we would have by far too much crashes, injuries and delays ... best wishes from a Swiss Speedway Supporter. I really think the referee was right to put Martin V. out after his crash : his fault, strange comment by V. bad decision, Speedway is hard sport ! cheers
  18. From my point of view Martin Vaculik just tried too hard and got the receipt for his hard riding style. Maybe it was also unlucky, but I think, correct decision to exclude him from the final heat. If every GP rider had the same attitude, we would see by far to many crashes, delays and bad injuries. His explanation: bad decision, Speedway is a hard sport ...... ? I wonder your opinions, best wishes from Switzerland !
