Live Superleague from Ufa now Alternative stream
-
Another busy weeekend in Russia with the Super League rounds 5/6 in Ufa, and the Major League Rounds 1/2 in Neftekamsk. Ufa hope to have a video stream and the meeting starts at 9am GMT both days, whilst the Neftekamsk meeting doesn't appear to have a stream at the moment, but this can change. The best stream last week in Shadrinsk came from a fan in the crowd with an iPhone so it may well be the same this week. No start time for the Major League meeting at this stage, but as it is in the same time zone as Ufa, it may very well run at the same start time. Once I have the links I'll post them. The Russian Forum usually carries live updates to both meetings http://www.russpeedway.info/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=24

Apologies!
-
You have to feel sorry for Luca in some respects, in that Dad is pushing him forward when he's possibly not ready. Yes he can ride, and Yes he has SOME experience, but he needs to ride in meetings where his Dad isn't riding. That may be hard if he can't drive or doesnt have the resources to travel to meetings without Dad. On your second point, Bauer is a fans favourite because he will sign autographs and pose for pics with fans as he did for you and your son. He just appears to have a problem with other German riders. However I fully expect him to be the Inzell wild card this year!
-
Thanks for posting the results, Jesper, as I've been snapping footy today, and getting cold and wet in the process! OK, so how does Gunther Bauer get a reserve slot when he didn't even compete in the qualifying round? Is it a case of who you know?
-
It started a few years ago, when Bauer claimed he was better than all the other German riders, who were were rubbish in his opinion. He has had fall outs with all the German riders, and myself, Iris 123 and a couple others jokingly refered to him as Gunther No Mates. Then I was in Sanok for the Team Final a few years ago, when Bauer sat apart from the other Germans with his back to them, and the joke stuck. If you can find it on YouTube, at Inzell in 2015, Weber was leading Bauer, and when they came into the second turn Bauer deliberately barged Weber taking him out. I have a sequence of the crash and in one pic, Webers wheels are clear of the ice. (If you have a look on my Instagram - I put it on there, there is a link below) The two don't even stand next to each other on the parades such is their dislike of each other. Bauer though is very popular and puts bums on seats, and I'm sure if he put the effort in with the others and settled his differences, then the Germans could be a force again. https://www.instagram.com/p/BsgrCnBljhtHVLh9MCe6PUHAl-AwUUOerEhjAI0/,

'No Mates' Bauer may well get the permanent wild card if he doesnt qualify, however I'd like to see Busch Iwema and Ebner go through. My head says the more experienced riders will go through. Surpised to see how few 'regulars' are in the qualifiers, and it does seem odd not to have a Klatovsky riding. I know Jesper will be doing live updates from Finland, but are there any updates from Sweden?

RUSSIAN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL 2, KAMENSK URAL FRIDAY, JANUARY 4 AND SATURDAY, JANUARY 5 SATURDAY Danil Ivanov (3 3 3 3 3) 15 Dinar Valeev (3 3 3 2 3) 14 Dmitri Khomitsevich (2 2 3 3 3) 13 Nikita Toloknov (2 1 2 3 3) 11 Dmitri Koltakov (3 2 1 3 2) 11 Sergei Makharov (2 3 2 2 2) 11 Evgeni Sharov (3 d 3 1 1) 8 Ivan Chichkov (1 2 1 2 1) 7 Evgeny Saydullin (1 3 1 0 1) 6 Konstantin Kolenkin (1 1 1 1 2) 6 Ivan Khuzhin (1 0 2 2 0) 5 Dmitri Borodin (0 2 0 0 2) 4 Vladimir Bobin (2 1 0 1 0) 4 Igor Saydullin (0 0 2 0 1) 3 Nikita Shadrin (0 1 0 1 0) 2 Nikita Tarasov (FdR 0 d 0) 0 OVERALL Daniil Ivanov (13 13 15 15) 56 Dmitri Koltakov (15 15 10 11) 51 Dmitri Khomitsevich (13 10 13 13) 49 Dinar Valeev (10 12 11 14) 47 Nikita Toloknov (9 12 11 11) 43 Sergei Makharov (8 8 12 11) 39 Evgeni Sharov (7 7 4 8) 26 Dmitri Solyannikov (11 9 4 0) 24 Ivan Chichkov (4 6 6 7) 23 Evgeni Saydullin (6 5 3 6) 20 nikita Tarasov (4 6 8 0) 18 Igor Saydullin (6 3 4 3) 16 Konstantin Kolenkin (3 1 6 6) 16 Ivan Khuzhin (2 1 7 5) 15 Nikita Bogdanov (5 6 0 0) 11 Vladimir Bobin (2 4 1 4) 11 Nikita Shadrin (1 1 3 2) 7 Dmitri Borodin (N N 2 2) 4 Danil Ivanov is the new Russian Champion, defending Champion Koltakov finished second overall after two meetings I suspect he'd rather forget. It eans Ivanov, Khomitsevich, Valeev and Nikita Toloknov go to the Ice Speedway Gladiators qualifiers, whist Makharov gets the European Championship spot. Some great racing today, including a last bend dash in Heat 30 by Khomitsevich to pass Koltakov and Makharov to take the win.

Kamansk ural day 2 live now

I believe Koltakov as defending World Champion is seeded to the series, then its the top 5 from each round, then 4 permanent wild cards, and then the wild card for each round

Ivanov was incredible, winning all his heats and looking like the Ivanov of old, and leads the standings going into the final rounds tomorrow. The Stream was a bit dodgy today, dropping in and out and the other stream kept freezing for me. However its all to play for in the morning. Looks like another early start!

Igor Saydullin will replace Igor Kononov in Final 1. Start time for Saturday is Noon for UK viewers and there is usually a link on Jesper's live updates page. Alternatively, look on MegaLada's YouTube Channel and it should be on there.

This is terrible news. The loss of his Father in such tragic circumstances will be hard for him. I just hope Igor isn't too badly hurt.

It appears that the result does not stand and Round 2 will be expunged from the records.

SUPER LEAGUE ROUNDS 1 & 2, KAMENSK URAL, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8 AND SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 ROUND 2 - Sunday (Abandoned after 8 heats) Togliatti 15 (Kononov 6, Ivanov 5, Toloknov 3, I. Saydullin 1) Ufa 12 (Valeev 6, Krasnikov 3, Chikov 2, Bogdanov 1, Shadrin 0) Shadrinsk 11 (Koltakov 6, Kolenko 2, Zorn 2, Akumbaev 1) Kamensk Ural 10 (Nesytyh 5, Khomitsevich 3, Haarahiltunen 1, Sharov 1) The riders apparently complained that the ice was too soft and was cutting up. After a lengthy track inspection after 8 heats the referee called the meeting off. I dont know if the results will stand. Despite the cold, it was quite sunny in Kamensk Ural, so its quite possible that has caused a few problems.
