Totally agree with this. We all sometimes have a brain freeze and get things like this wrong ... someone should have helped Kelvin out, whether Allen or someone from the production team. Very amateur of them.
I can't believe Allen - who comes across as a pretty intelligent, clued-up guy, didn't put Tatum right. He didn't have to do it on air ... he could have passed him a note.
As for Abi constantly laughing about the hash tag - it's not the slightest bit funny. Nor professional.
Tatum was truly embarrassing tonight. At least Chris Louis sounded bored - like the rest of us. Sadly the TV coverage reflects the state of the sport at present ... Abi treats the gate selection like something off Blue Peter and the pit interviews just get worse by the year. No wonder the interest is waning.
It is the highlight of my Tuesday mornings to wake up to the latest excuses from Tolley - too slick at Oxford and the "depth" of the track was wrong last night! In the long history of deluded promoters (and it is a long, long list) he is fast taking over as the undisputed No.1. He can't fathom out what went wrong last night - which is surprising as most of us who were there can!
I don't know what Sam E is smoking but it must be pretty potent. This from the Birmingham press release after last night...“It’s hard to get it consistent at the moment, we’re still working on it, and when it does click we’ll be a force.”
