  1. Tatum was truly embarrassing tonight. At least Chris Louis sounded bored - like the rest of us. Sadly the TV coverage reflects the state of the sport at present ... Abi treats the gate selection like something off Blue Peter and the pit interviews just get worse by the year. No wonder the interest is waning.
  2. Obviously no-one told Paul Hunsdon - he said a few weeks ago, and I quote, "a rider who could become the signing of the season!"
  3. For what reason? I wasn't criticising the track, the track team or the volunteers!
  4. It is the highlight of my Tuesday mornings to wake up to the latest excuses from Tolley - too slick at Oxford and the "depth" of the track was wrong last night! In the long history of deluded promoters (and it is a long, long list) he is fast taking over as the undisputed No.1. He can't fathom out what went wrong last night - which is surprising as most of us who were there can!
  5. Is that your idea Mr. Buck ... or your promoter's?!
  6. Someone tell David Rowe to slow down a bit - he sounds like he has had two many coffees!
  7. I disagree too. Anything that keeps the mad ramblings of Tolley and Ermolenko out of the magazine works for me!
  8. I don't know what Sam E is smoking but it must be pretty potent. This from the Birmingham press release after last night...“It’s hard to get it consistent at the moment, we’re still working on it, and when it does click we’ll be a force.”
  9. It is either the track, the weather, the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, we chose the wrong guest, our porridge for breakfast was the wrong flavour ... the excuses coming out of Birmingham are becoming more embarrassing by the week. How about the promotion picked a pretty ordinary team ... and then hyped them up as play-off contenders (not for the first time) when everyone and their dog could see that wasn't the case. That's not to say they should criticise the team ... but how about a modicum of realism now and then?
  10. So how many media outlets (not speedway facebook sites) used material from yesterday's media day? I don't read many national newspapers but I can't seem to locate anything.
  11. Enjoyable yes, but amazing and unbelievable (the words of Brannan and Roynon). I must have been watching a different meeting!
