They have tried to improve things but I think a different club would have got more out of the same riders. Anyway we'll see how Lunna goes, he can be a bit up and down sometimes. Looking at the Bears now hopeless league position, I might have been tempted to bring in a young Brit but at least they're trying.

Doubling up with riders from the lower league would of course be necessary (that's how young riders progress) there is no indication the foreign riders would be allowed into our bottom tier. The lower group of teams could have a play off of their own (hasn't there been different levels of play off before?) Let us see how many teams are actually running next year, the likelihood is that quite a few will throw the towel in.

The sooner we get to a one big league situation, with riders doing off track jobs to supplement their income (instead of begging on Twitter), the sooner we face reality. Almost all clubs at the top two levels are running at a loss or very near to it, they can only run at an affordable level and as several are likely to close or apply for NL membership, one league would seem to be the only option. It is now about survival rather than anything else.
