  1. amazing night for the tigers and with a fit Bates in that team we look pretty darn good, Wright looking very stylish with Owlerton as his new home track.
  2. Stonehewer, Wilson, Smart, Coles, Thorp . . Those were the days.
  3. Looking forward to this one. Had a bit of heavy rain lately so the track will be quite grippy i imagine. Sheffield win and cant wait to see how Shanes takes to his new track.
  4. Can only see Edinburgh turning Scunny over to be honest. So sorry to say it but they could get ironed in this fixture.
  5. Any pics from P&P floating about anywhere ?
  6. Can only see Sheffield ironing out Scunthorpe home and away to be honest.
  7. Can the legend that runs this site www.sheffield-tigers.co.uk please upload the pics tomorrow from the P&P ? Cant wait to see the Tigers. Wonder if it will be team matching Kevlars or SJP Race-jackets ? personally i prefer the Race-Jackets. I am happy.
  8. Good usage of the word Iron there mate, might have to paint in pictures what you mean to Scunny2012 though.
  9. Another team he's dropped in the sh!t then !
  10. Can't see this team doing much to be honest. Just my opinion but Auty and Garrity not as good as they once were, and unpredicatable. Manzares might be ok at home but away very suspect. Worrall the only stand out rider. There is nothing to get excited about here im afraid. Sorry, still at least you can have a real challenge with newcastle for bottom spot. Enjoy getting ironed this season.
  11. Absolutely mate, failing that i reckon mellish could do a job.
  12. Scunthorpe fans loving this new look lineup but cant wait to see their faces when the team comes to Sheffield and gets ironed.
  13. Will feel sorry for Newcastle fans watching their team get ironed every week.
  14. This is how i expect the riders meet and greet evening to go ... "Ladies and gentlemen, and now we have some exciting news, i'm sure you are all happy with how our team has been assembled, so without further delay, i would like to present to you the final member of our team........ Please give a warm welcome to...... David Speight". ..David brings with him a wealth of experience from over the years, and we are confident the former Owlerton track specialist can transfer some of this track knowledge to his new home here at Scunthorpe. The Scorpions were all but nailed on to sign Hot shot Saul Bulley but a late decision by Saul to pull out and pursue a career at Halfords threw the Scorpions into disarray. They were then 50/50 and undecided between Speight and fellow National League high flier Andy Mellish, however it was the latter who got the nod from Scorpions bosses after hours of discussions and negotiations. A full press conference is scheduled for Tues 6th March @ 10:15am.
  15. As for a temporary replacement who is available ? Could Dmitri Berge fit in ?
  16. Jordan Tyrer or Saul Bulley, or for experience go for David Speight.
  17. with all the blank thursdays we need to bring back the Top Gun !
  18. Yes I had heard this too, also heard that more than one than one veteran Owlerton hero are about to put on their kevlars one more time for this event.
  19. So .... Riding order, I'm going for : Howarth Kurtz Bjerre Bates Wright Shanes Smith What you reckon ?
  20. Well said, should we remain injury free then the only other teams i can see potentially giving us some bother are Glasgow & Ipswich. James Shanes is a masterstroke of a signing in my opinion. Will certainly keep the top 5 on their toes and he is more than capable of piling up the points. Heres to an exciting 2018 UTT.
  21. Well well well, ignore my last post. HOWARTH signs for 2018 and completes our team.
  22. A virtual tumbleweed blows quietly through this thread...... Hoping for news soon this silence is killing me !
