  1. Can't believe this was called off, i live about 20 minutes from the track and its been warm and sunny all afternoon!
  2. I hope your right about Robert. fair comment on Steve.
  3. Who said anything about being written off? all I said was that he doesn't seem interested in riding for Rye. That's my opinion based on some fact.
  4. How many times have we seen this sort of thing with young riders in this country? Lewis Bridger Robert Mear Stevie Boxall Robert Lambert??? to name but a few. Try to move up to soon, rather than consolidate for a couple of seasons.
  5. Garrity thinks he's a big time Charlie now he's in the elite league, doesn't seem interested for Rye, Simon has got to go, bring back Linus. Won't be wasting my money watching this rubbish unless there are changes.
  6. I think you have hit the nail on the head with Simon, seems Jason can score points for Coventry but not for us!!!
  7. Went to Rye today for the Quad racing, the track looked in quite good condition considering all the rain we have had this winter. There was some demonstration races involving Edward Kennett,Steve Boxall, Ben Morley, Dan Blake and Luke Bowen. Ed & Steve looked quick, Luke diid a few laps and didn't appear any more (had an engine problem). If they carry on how the were today and remain injury free, could be a good season.
  8. Lets hope that Klindt is brought in as a temp replacement
  9. Can't help but think the club will be a mid to low end team unless we have a more switched on promoter.
  10. Shadders I don't want the club to fail, I have been going to Rye since it started, i'm now 50. 2005 & 2007 were fantastic, but times have changed and as someone has said on here that the club blame injuries but in this sport every team has the same problem, it's how it's dealt with that makes the difference.
  11. Even tough I have been a Len fan for many years, I am beginning to think it's time for a new face at the helm at Rye. I am finding it hard to waste my hard earn't money each week on watching the teams being put together each year, and the track preperation/conditioton seems a lot to be desired. Sorry Len this is one supporter that will not be back any time soon.
  12. What some people may not know is that Adam had never sat on a speedway bike until he was 12, which is quite a late age to start. So in the short time he has been riding, I think he has done a great job. Keep it going Adam.
  13. What planet are you on? these boys get paid next to nothing for riding in the national league, they and their parents work long hours to get them racing each week, having agreed to sponsor Adam this season and speaking to his parents at length the pay for travel and points barely covers the costs involved. If you are going to come on here and have your say, please make sure there is some sort of knowledge behind the comments.
  14. When all is said and done it's good to have him back, if only for a short while??
  15. Don't knock Adam to soon, give him a season to see how he get's on. This is a big step for him and I am sure he will do well. Instead of putting down young riders in this country why not try talking to them and get to understand what these boys go through to do something they enjoy. Most of them read what is put on here and it does have an effect on them.
  16. Hi Does anyone know what Tommy Allen is doing now?
  17. Adam is a good lad and should do well this season, he and more experienced riders have had trouble with the 3rd bend at Rye, but has worked hard to improve. He has some decent equipment being prepared for the coming season, but as most young lads in the sport needs sponsors. If anyone would like to help, Adam can be contacted through Facebook or Neil Day at Kent.
  18. Interesting to see Robert Mear lastnight, Craig said something about having only 28 Elite meetings, he was getting a bit of track time! Not sure if he was checking out something on his bike.
  19. I think your spot on, don't think he will be riding for the Kings this year.
  20. Jack Kingston and Adam Kirby were at Rye House today, a mixed afternoon for them both. Adam had a win, a mechanical problem and a fall. Jack had a win and a crash from which he sustained an ankle injury (not sure is its serious). Both looked good though.
