  1. What did you think of Tom Bacon & Georgie Wood, Steve?
  2. The EL averages bear that out. Josh got 4.76 this year & on a 1.4 converter would be 6.66 but he can be had on his PL average of 5.02! Great value, young & determined.
  3. Shanes (or one of the other 2 pointers) will undoubtedly prove to be another Andy Moore (Swindon 2007), a poor gater & generally out-classed, but such a trier that he somehow got a 4 point average!
  4. Two points: I suspect Wolves will have the strongest reserves in Klindt & Clegg but many of the other teams will take advantage of the 2 point reserve option to bolster the rest of their team, making Shanes a perfectly good choice; I don't think next season's rules are any more a dumbing down of the league than the 2014 introduction of draft reserves (which over the last three years has definitely benefitted a dozen young British riders) as Daryl Ritchings came into the Swindon team then having achieved only a 5.94 average in the NL while Shanes has a respectable 8.53 average.
  5. Thanks for the advice but we're perfectly happy with Doyle, miles better than an unreliable, inconsistent Pole. Talking of which, how's your search for a "Number1" going? Still pinning your hopes on KK? Can't even see him bothering to turn up at Rye & Wolves, although to be fair this year he did get to Monmore Green once & banged in 5 points!
  6. Aren't those clubs in PLZ2, the third division after Estraliga & PLZ1?
  7. Agreed. Other than the 2007 team which looked planned but which actually fell into Rosco's lap, all of his team- building has been on the hoof. Never strategic like Matt Ford. The Bellego signing is particularly weird. Rosco says he's got his place because he asked for it and has good equipment, not because he fits with a team-building plan!
  8. Maybe we could just take a risk on that because with the old PL format there is only one reserves' heat? Maybe we should go with the strongest top five and have two low average reserves? Doyle, Bellego, Ellis, Batchelor, Morris, Shanes & Wajknecht At home we would stand a chance of 3-3 in heat 2 & at least 3-3 in the other heats featuring the reserves. Away, 1-5 in heat 2 but 2-4 in the others. That would be ok if the top five can pick up heat advantages in the other heats. Good idea, but JPB signed for Sheffield & Hume likely to be at Ipswich, both Thursday tracks.
  9. Only one Brit in that, isn't there?
  10. Why would they want to? That would be mad!
  11. Except Harris, Nichols & Watt have all signed for Polish third division clubs - do they not ride on Sundays?
  12. Isn't Porsing on his EL conversion of 6.99 due to only 3 home matches in the PL?
  13. Garrity on 8.55 or Batchelor on 7.34? Troy for me. So Troy & Schlein for Garrity & Kerr.
  14. Cook Jacobs Steve Worrall Batchelor Fricke Heeps Bewley
  15. Have you ever seen Lampart ride? Hit and miss on big tracks and hopeless on small ones. There's no way he will put 2 points on 6.4. Musielak on the other hand would be a good signing on 6.34. He is a more accomplished rider. He averaged something like 3.5 at home for Wolves and 5.5 away and he would fly around Blunsdon.
  16. Neil Watson says we can have as many double-uppers as we like but not more than two from any one Championship team.
  17. So, for example, if Adam Ellis & Bellego signed for Sheffield no other rider in that team could double up? Or do you mean Swindon could not have another Sheffield rider?
  18. Someone on here said speedwaygb tweeted a maximum of two.
  19. [quote name="Col" post="2882247" timestamp="1479432653 Kasprzak 11.07 Sarjeant 5.8 Garrity 8.55 4. King 9.57 Bates 5.02 7. 9.99 At least four double-uppers!
  20. To be fair David felt charitable after Redcar 47 Plymouth 43, Bellego 15 point max, Perks absolutely nothing
  21. Same as everywhere: wild and knocking riders off but great fun!
  22. Ah, two clowns now. Do you want me to search out some of Brady Kurtz's poor scores this year and say he's rubbish?
  23. Yep, if there is a max two double-up rule it will be difficult for most clubs, esp those in need of a 2 point reserve. If Nick wants to double up we may have to sign Troy instead!
  24. Are you working to a 60 point team, Sidney?
