Probably due to life expectancy!
-
Shouldn't there be a limit on the combined age of the riders?
-
Bellego uses up too many points for a balanced team but maybe he'll just be reliable & a pleasure to watch! Assuming Nick Morris and a 2 pointer, I make 10.15 left, with two 5 pointers surely a better option than a weak reserve. I'd prefer two of Roynon, Heeps, Mellgren, Josh Bates or Wilson-Dean to Lykke Nielsen (mentioned elsewhere) & Ashley Morris.
-
Apparently they'll now be called Rye Home & sponsored by SAGA.
-
Madness! We can quite easily have Nick, two 6 pointers & a 5 & 2 point reserve. The 2 pointer need take only 3 rides.
-
No, it doesn't. They could have Eddie and NBJ, a good reserve & a 2 pointer.
-
His Danish league scores weren't too hot! We can do better with two of Kerr, Musielak, Busk-Jacobsen or Rasmus Jensen.
-
Other teams will probably include the likes of Ashley Morris (4.98), Branford (4.6), Bewley (4) & Clegg (4.34) as their second reserve, who are all on a par with Stefan (5.53), so rather than waste the points on him it would be better to have an up and coming two pointer (Smith, Bacon, Shanes, Mountain etc) who would stand a chance of beating those riders occasionally (as they have done in the NL this year) and a better, more experienced first reserve (Roynon 5.12, Mellgren 5.09, Alex Davies 5.41 or Heeps 5.07) who would stand a better chance than Stefan of dominating heat 2 at home. Stefan needs another year in the Second tier. Just my opinion of course! 2 pointers are a gift for Swindon to offset Doyle!
-
Yes, including Ritchings I think as he averaged less than 2 for Ipswich.
-
You need to embrace the NL, Matt! At least ten good up and coming two pointers.
-
Gather 1 has a private hotline. Musielak has confirmed no UK to him too!!!!
-
Can't see how we could fit or want Sedgmen on 7.6 & Ayres would be plain daft when we need a 2 pointer & a 5 pointer at reserve.
-
Don't think I'd want Stefan in the 1-5 or as our main reserve when the other one needs to be a 2 pointer. He needs another season in the lower league. Swindon should have a balanced team, with: a proper number one (Doyle), maybe the only one in the league; two heatleaders (Morris & Ellis), maybe not the strongest but still young & improving & good for 2018 too; two experienced 6 point second strings who should put a point on their real averages & preferably who don't double-up (like Musielak, Busk-Jacobsen, Porsing or maybe Kerr). Musielak (6.34), finished in the Ekstraliga averages above Gomolski (2017 average 7.71), Wozniak (8.27), Woryna (6.51) & Jepsen Jensen; a starlet 2 pointer reserve - but it has to be a really good one, not Ritchings who was poor last year; an experienced reserve (ideally Klindt, but maybe Mellgren, Roynon or Heeps, all of whom have had higher averages & would be better than Stefan).
-
Doyle Kerr Ellis Musielak Morris Klindt (Davies, Mellgren, Jacobs, Heeps, Roynon) Parkinson-Blackburn
-
Matt would be better arguing for Kolodziej on his old average x 1.4, rather than Hampel. He's had a good year in Extraliga.
-
Roscoe should focus on getting the best possible 2 pointer next (not Ritchings) to off-set Doyle: Parkinson-Blackburn, Shanes or Smith etc before the PL teams snap them up.
-
But with Doyle in it would have won them?
-
Doyle Porsing Ellis Busk Jacobsen Morris Grondal (Branford or Campton) 2.31 NL rider
-
Oops

Promotion/relegation hasn't worked recently and isn't likely to with 40/50 teams and some clubs not wishing to be promoted. Instead, iIt might have made sense for each league to have sister clubs, sharing riders (as double uppers or guests for injuries) in an effort to avoid fixture clashes and improve fan loyalty, like Swindon and Somerset last year.
-
Hmmmmmm SIX double uppers ????
-
6.41 now though with the 1.4 conversion. We need someone worse than Dawid!
-
What's more important: wringing every last point to get a team of mercenaries or signing seasoned Poole riders that the fans can get behind. How many one season wonders have Poole signed and dropped? I'd rather support a club that stays loyal to popular riders, even if we don't win the league every year!
-
Yep. Trawling the old Greensheets for a one-season flop!
-
How many double-uppers in all these suggested teams? With everyone from Freddie Lindgren down in the averages able to sign for a Championship team, especially the more reliable and cost-effective Brits who don't have foreign clubs, it could be almost impossible for Premiership teams to sign good riders if only two double-uppers are allowed. Practically every team will need two double-uppers in the 1-5 and two more at reserve or have to look to foreign fringe riders like Huckenbach and Grondal!
