I think Matt/Danny's preferred 1-7 would have Zach (4.92) at reserve - although they also said that may be unrealistic. As for Rew, he is going to be based in Leszno Poland and therefore flying in for any UK meetings. Ippo with Doyley makes sense being close to Stanstead as would any track close to a decent airport and flights - but he will still need machinery, transport, mechanic and workshop facility wherever else he goes.
-
He is the current Aussie U.21 Champion as of last weekend. He will be based in Poland and has previously ridden for 3 Polish Clubs - Rawitz, Leszno & Krosno - but is riding for Gdansk in the Polish 2nd tier next season
-
And if the team is built that way then Zachs average has to go higher than the weakest 2nd string which may not happen straight away.
-
The key is/was to keep both Cooks so one of the top 2 heat leaders had to go. The choice between the 3 team options are about whether Zach Cook(4.92) could start at reserve or as a 2nd string. Watch this space.
-
Plan C may we be no further Aussies at all?
-
I reckon only 12.97 left for 3 riders so if it is Rew (5) and Zischke(4) that leaves 3.97 for the other reserve.
-
The interesting question is whether it was Matt/Danny's Option A,B orC?
-
So I wonder if Poole's announcement has been timed to coincide with Birmingham's announcement at 1930 hrs?
-
Well it could be Danny King as Poole confirm his release.
-
So :Poole say goodbye to the skipper. Cheers Danny.

I'm sure the Facenas learned a lot of how to do things effectively from their visit to Matt in Poole when they first took over!

Look no Hans! -
I guess it depends on what people understand as 'a guarantee'? If its a guaranteed payment for simply turning up an d riding, then that should rightly be outlawed. If its signing on fees, accommodation, vans, travel, mechanics on top of points money then thats simply part and parcel of how speedway operates at any level - and where sponsorship plays a big part. But I have to agree with Steve S - Greg Hancock was the last Poole rider to get a 'guarantee'!! NB, Rider announcement imminent I gather..............

Plymouth will probably need a couple of 2 pointers judging by their top end averages, 24.13 for the 3 heat leaders!! -
The BSPL statement said 'a limit on guarantees' not that there would not be any at all!

I thought he said at the start of the season that Nathan was 'a long term project'! Bearing in mind Pooles history of making mid season changes, maybe 'long term' meant for the whole season? Sorry to keep on about Poole on the Plymouth thread but Lewy brought it up! -
