  1. So Nick Morris and Danny Ayres booked as guests for Wolves.
  2. 'Enough' is whatever they decide themselves. It wouldn't necessarily mean thats the only competition/league they would operate in? For example, if say 4 teams decided they wanted to operate teams with 'top' riders on a fixed face night (2home/2 away or whatever), then they could also run a 'weaker' team in whatever other league structure is agreed. As long as the 2 seperate competitions are priced attractively and sensibly, then it could provide the best of both worlds for fans - past and present - sponsors/advertisers and some 'top' riders. Try it for a season - if it doesn't work then it doesn't make the current situation any worse. If it works despite all the doom mongers - job done.
  3. If there are enough clubs that wish to run in a top league and are financially secure to do so, why shouldn't they? Especially if their fans and most importantly their sponsors are keen to do so?! I'm not denegrating those fans and clubs that wish to run based on a cheaper financial model and lower standard of riders.
  4. Could be Charles Wright as he rides for both Bates' clubs!!
  5. I know you meant to put 'steroid spray' mate. 'Steroid spay' could be a whole different procedure Take it easy. See you Wednesday.
  6. Somerset and Rye House only came up last season to replace Coventry and Lakeside. Leicester have been in since 2014
  7. Preceded by another showing of 'True Grit' on BT Sport 3 for those that may not have seen it!
  8. Poole will win this by at least 7 points. I guess Wolves will again use Nick Morris as a guest as they are on Monday?!
  9. Shock, horror - Gavan in post-holiday Poole thread return!
  10. So when there was an impasse at the AGM over the Mon/Thurs FRN, with Championship clubs refusing to support what had already been agreed with FIM, what alternative night should have been proposed by MF or any other Premiership promoter for that matter? Poole can run M/W/Th/F with sufficient notice, but the SGBC clubs would not have supported Fridays either (they have enough problems fitting their Friday fixtures in now!!)
  11. Maybe he should have taken one of the 3 other dates that Somerset offered earlier in the season!!!!??
  12. Play-off scores don't count towards GSAs - unless they chnage the rules as they did with the KO Cup?!
  13. Watch and learn!! How many points are Swindon behind Poole?!
  14. BT (as per Sky) want a 'top' league as it looks better in their portfolio of sports for advertising revenue!!
  15. Richie's had some decent scores as a 2nd string this season - it has to be down to track prep.
  16. Poole 'limped in' to 4th place a few seasons ago and ended up winning the play-offs! In the reverse situation they've also previously been top most of the season and ended up losing in the play-offs!!
  17. Thats correct. Bomber's is now 6.90 but achieved after the August 23rd cut-off for September so can now only be affected by the scores v Wolves on Wednesday and the score 21 meetings ago that drops out of the calculation and becomes effective on 1st October. If there is little change then I can see the Poole 1-5 riding order from the play off semifinal on 1st October being Bomber; Kacper; Brady; Josh; Nicolai. Whether that makes any difference we shall have to see.
  18. I'm not mechanically minded but apparantly Richie rides a 'long stroke' engine rather than a 'short stroke' one! Maybe its not the size/shape of the track that is the issue but mainly down to track prep. When interviewed after the Bank Holiday afternoon meeting he said he prefers a lot more grip rather than - as everyone witnessed - a very understandably slick track bearing in mind the amount of rain that fell the day before.
