  1. Well the October 1st GSAs are now confirmed on www.speedwaygb.co Bomber is not the best gater at the start of the meeting so having Josh at 2 would make some sense. Personally on recent form I would still prefer Brady at 3, Kacper at 4 and Nicolai at 5 but whatever the order on Monday it will have been discussed with the riders.
  2. In the longer Terry Russell article in the Speedway Star he says that much of the new speedway track work should be done in October and November. The dog track will also be changed and Gaming International will be trying to do that work in between greyhound race days over the winter.
  3. The scores will ultimately confirm the final GSAs for next season - so hardly meaningless!!!!
  4. Maybe with Somerset and Leicester/Sheffield thats more to do with the fixed race night debate than anything else?!
  5. Virtually the same size as Poole (299.1m), Should be great.
  6. If the existing dog track is to stay the same, why alter the speedway track at all as part of the stadium redevelopment??
  7. Rosco is merely saying that if they 'drop another 10k' through lack of support at this final meeting then it could have a serious financial effect on the strength of the 2019 line-up.
  8. I asked this question on another thread but think it got overlooked by several trolling posts at the time, BUT.... Which of the current Premiership clubs want to further reduce the standard of Premiership level speedway? Fans at SGBP clubs are already saying they want the likes of the Zagars, Holders, Lindgrens, Vaculiks, Doyles, NKIs back.
  9. Hardly 'problem solved'?! One problem is that many fans and several clubs and riders don't want it!
  10. Serious question - do the Swindon greyhounds race through the Winter? (At Poole its 52 weeks a year!!). If so, in addition to their track, what spectator facilities do they require? Surely the landlords Stadia UK or whatever name they go by now - will want to have that up and running asap with little or no lack of continuity.
  11. Kyle Howarth and Jye Etheridge are both listed in the Redcar Silver Helmet meeting on Thursday!
  12. The article says that the stands will be taken down when the expected planning permission comes through. The pits will also be moved. None of which affects work on the revised track shape to start immediately. Lets not forget that the landlords will also want facilities for greyhounds to be in full working order asap!!
  13. Can't allow both Sheffield and Leicester in the same league with the same promotion!!!
  14. Batch would fit but Masters is too high according to the figures 31/08/18. How about Hans Anderson? Alternatively if Cookie is deemed unfit why not do r/r for him and get a guest forBewley eg Nick Morris?
  15. If we adopt a similar gameplan as we did at the Oaktree, by letting Doyle do his thing and ensuring only one or two last places then a couple of 5-1's with a couple fewer 3-3s and 4-2s will be ok Not going to do any score predictions until I know what the revised riding order will be.
  16. Who amongst the current Premiership clubs would want a further watering down of team strengths? I can't think of any, not even Leicester.
  17. Excellent 2-page interview with Matt Ford by Phil Lanning in this week's Speedway Star, giving some insight into MF's possible future. In a seperate article, Middlo reckons that MF has already started his team building plans for next year, so Promoters must have a pretty clear view of the format/changes for 2019 - as long as they are agreed at the AGM.
  18. If we do get past Somerset then I would prefer BV as we would have the choice of home or away first. If its KL they would have the choice.
  19. Crikey - all sorts of entertainment and atmosphere then!!?
