Agree. But the big difference is the difficulty of rider availability in rearranging postponed/abandoned fixtures in the EL. Poland and Sweden just rearrange whenever and on whatever day they wish!

There were a few whispers going around last night after Kacper's celebratory laps that it could have been his farewell?! I hope not. If it is Kacper to be replaced then MF has 5.15 to play with from August 1st. His programme notes - as with his BBC interview - suggest that IF he is to make a change then 'there are options open to us - those options are riders not currently in the EL but ones which would excite our supporters'!? If its Dak that is to miss out then we have 6.04 to play with......!

What a great meeting that was!! Fastest heat times of the season again! Poole looking very strong - even Dak who had bike problems in his first 3 heats was not far off the pace. No-one could live with Holder and Janowski. Well done too Agent Ward, the first part of your 2015 mission is complete. We will see you in 3 weeks for part 2. (Just for the conspiracy theorists!) Terrific atmosphere and only one (very) poor refereeing decision - in heat 8 by Tony Steele.

Hit the nail on the head there C4G. Where Darcy or Chris or Magic ride next year will be down to what the team building rules are and where the riders themselves want to ride - UK or not?!. Swindon at the moment (or from 1st August at least) have a similar problem especially if the 'only 2 over 7 points rule' is retained? If Swindon attempt to manipulate Batch's end of season average, then that may not do their play-off chances any good!! As far as Poole are concerned, as Matt's preferred starting option for this season was Darcy and Magic then I don't see his mind changing much for 2016!!

Just as a matter of interest, last Saturday Poole's Matt Ford was on BBC Radio Solent's Sports show for over an hour. During the discussion he mentioned that there was a promoter 'actively pursuing' the Oxford licence, with a view to reintroducing speedway sooner rather than later!!
