In his statement on SGB LS says: " The delay in receiving a written agreement (re the sale of the stadium) was such that we were unable to plan for 2022 and we were forced to release all our riders. However it reads as if the agreement including the the proviso that Speedway remained was put in place did arrive in time but riders have been released a tad prematurely, presuming details of team averages etc have not yet been decided/agreed otherwise by now many more riders would have been signed and teams finalised...Wouldnt they?

Not sure the gesture squares with his statement made yesterday when he said "I sincerely hope that Speedway has a future at Central Park and I will do all in my power to help that happen.” Maybe he has loaned the gear to Iwade rather than given it away?

As I Said in the original posting “Of course it will not happen because too much self interest is involved coupled with a distinct lack of vision on what’s required to get British Speedway on the up” That also goes for fans who say “change is needed to stop UK speedway going down the drain” but mean “so long as their club is not affected”

Not get rid. “Replace” with clubs who have the ability to be more flexible regarding race night availability - That is Amongst other criteria which should be in place to ensure the correct standard of quality is applied to form a “top league”

Out of interest. Has anybody kept count on the number of times each Premiership club appeared in this seasons live broadcasts? It would be interesting to see the data on number of times each team were featured at home, away and thus total. Ideally play offs should be shown separately from the regular season.

Great rider who will continue to improve in 2022 but why would Edinburgh release their asset to ride for a League rival?

The higher number of teams in the Championship enables the promoter to provide greater variety to the fans and frankly there is almost zero difference in the quality of racing. Thus better income at the gate coupled with lower costs makes sense to stay put.

Is there is any “TV Money” actually paid directly to the clubs these days? The big money disappeared when Sky moved on after which, the benefit has been diluted down mainly to “TV exposure”. Better than nothing but not something big enough to attract new clubs to the Premiership?

Well that’s it for another season. Although no trophies won this year, a good home record with some entertaining races and well contested meetings plus a few wins on the road have made it worthwhile if not memorable. As a wrap up to the season what do Lions fans see as the highs, lows & lessons to be learned going forward? (Also hopes and aspirations for 2022)

As is the case for any sport which takes the TV Devils money. Have a look at how many Premier League fixtures have not only the KO time changed but also the DAY. Actually 5.30 Saturday afternoon isn't that bad as gives time to eat & drink after the meeting. Just wish they would hurry up and start selling the tickets.
