I read this with total bemusement. I can assure you that my uncle, Louis Lawson, WAS a champion speedway racer and I can't understand anyone else racing in his name, unless maybe he let them. I will look into my end of it further. A mystery! M Miller

Louis Lawson was my uncle. "Louis" was his real name, and he was indeed born in Southwell and married my aunt Hilda from Lowdham, Notts. She and her sisters had known him since childhood. We've never even heard the "Arthur Woods" story!
