  1. Sometimes just working for an employer that you trust will not try to 'shaft you' at every possible opportunity is enough to seek pastures new!
  2. as much as the bears management do to actually promote their own club then. Run by wa..... and watched by w********** until they see sense and chuck him. Joking aside, how many fans over all our leagues just 'shut up' lest the 'plug be pulled' and speedway is lost in their community. For all their faults, be they single person based or not, they have the business acumen necessary to continue to promote speedway. Can we afford to expunge the 'aging dinosaur' who at least keeps a club 'alive' merely to unearth the 'fossil' a decade down the road bemoaning how yet another club was lost to our beloved sport.
  3. Lets pay to send him to our 'nearest and dearest' rivals and hope he is crap. Interesting option that 'ruff' old chap. But then again, if he truly is so vilified by his own supporters, then heyho. Hang on though- are we talking Kus here or Haverlock?
  4. We could do worse, but I think Kus would be a more viable option given Compton's recent form at Brough.
  5. Cant help but think that we will only ever see his best when he is properly managed. Successful at Berwick and was a very good guest for us last season. Just remove the negative part of the equation and he scores points en masse. Keeping with the Bandits connection- is he doing pretty much exactly what Charlie Gjedde did in an effort to move on?
  6. TBH. I can really see this Diamonds side with the inclusion of Kus being quite literally a click and we crush you bunch against most of this season's PL teams. Remember this time last year when most of the controversy concerned whether Stevie had an inflated average and would be found lacking. If it proves to be Kus I only hope he proves to be equally 'lacking'
  7. part. as in particular and to have a sponsor name including 'finishes
  8. What- you mean that the Bears are not 'Finished' Always did think they were tempting fate by going down that part. route. Maybe the company concerned are wary of being associated with disreputable management practise?
  9. But if he comes off and learns our track., we get a very good travelling rider don't we?
  10. Surely my case is passed as by my deliverance m'lud?
  11. Rather support the 'Bears' as eat an kebab piss*d or overwise!
  12. Is there not a rule that states -barring injury or a facility- that all teams must have a declared 1-7? Know we started 13? manxless after his practise day mishap, but only with said dispensation.
  13. Robbo still a trier, though with now a return to Rye after Newcastle and redcar, is he merely doing the rounds of his former clubs prior to retirement. How many more like him have lost valuable reserve EL income as a direct result of the so-called El draft which admittedly 'makes' a few, but has found many more sadly lacking. On a funnier note which may be lost down here- my spell checker actually saw a mistake in my spelling of redcar with a small 'r' . Opps, there it goes again. Hint of course is regional rivalry and not being sure who you lot would similarly abuse, I leave it open to conjecture Well he could certainly 'PIMP' his rides!
  14. Can certainly remember us at Brough hanging around for two 7pm starts to give time for both Pepe Franc and Mattie Kus to return from GP wild card births. Around 2011-13ish.
  15. Currant promotion are doing their best to prove it either way, but would still like to know the original thinking behind preventing GP participants from riding PL.
  16. Given the currant paucity of riders there are available for any leagues, perhaps the rules need to be looked at. Were they brought in on cost cutting grounds or to stop the richer clubs from 'buying' the title for example.
  17. I ain't seen a Belle View programme, but it must be canny to be only one short of ours in the poll. A well deserved thank-you to the production team
  18. Low down on our terraces, the full line of doctors-and I mean doctors- are almost an hindrance to viewing the back straight. Joking about the hindrance, not the number of doctors. Humour aside, the medical cover at some tracks is literally, the bare minimum and the Anderson ambulance is a more than welcome addition to Berwick ready for the T/T meetings. Posted before reading your post Tsunami- our precautions are worth posting twice though so leaving intact.
  19. Yes, a standard at Brough for a few years too, along with a veritable army of fully trained medical staff.
  20. Lanham still a good 'journeyman' rider who will on most nights at least hold his average, if not an extra point or so. Cert. still a better option than bringing over a foreigner and hoping anyway!
  21. Can see a much closer result at Brough now you are Cookieless!
  22. Cant believe this thread? Are we really so over-subscribed with posters anywhere on these forums to actually criticise those who actually bother even without an 'o' level in English, really!
