Finally got a Greenford programme today 28/4/1928

I think MR Rising had been on the Riesling!!!

Shock Horror, I have never waited in anticipation for the Star to be delivered. I ripped it off the postman hands eagerly opening it that I thought there will be at least a two page spread on Kenny Carter. To me dis-believe absolutely nothing. One word some's my feelings up UNBELIEVEABLE

I agree with you putting money in to the club, but what did clubs do with the money Sky put in ?
-
But GM engine is basically standard, example Peter Johns only builds one type of engine & that's GP standard for around £5.500 & lets be honest in motor sports that's very cheap. Maybe it could be bought even cheaper in Poland of say Ash-Tech or Ryszard Kowalski as based in Poland, labour & overheads much lower
-
I honestly feel for you spending the amount you have & then having the engine let go
-
if you go on to Joe Hughes web site, it will give you a idea just how expensive items are. I do a lot of Polish league meetings, the likes of Bartosz Smektala even at his age, the team & equipment he has is just mind blowing!!
-
Yes, I have the programme in my collection
-
I will give you a example, this year I'm helping Drew Kemp out (felt he was my best option for up & coming young English rider) I have put in the best part of £20.000 & not even scratched the surface as far as all his equipment being at the level it needs to be. For example 1 new Blixt carb off Joe Hughes £800, that gives you a idea just how much outlay is needed
-
Regarding Charles Wright, 10K to 30K, you would need to invest far more than that to be competitive for a season equipment alone.

Five riders that you felt were underrated.

talking of 16 year olds, will the EVER be a rider as good has Lee at that age. I think not -

Drabik and Smektala only marginal better than Lambert, you must have been watching different racing to me last year in Poland. Look at the average of both riders mentioned compared to Lambert's facts don't lie -

Missile bikes? you must have one hell of a lot of knowledge regarding polish riders. I for one do a lot of polish league meetings, I must of under estimated your knowledge of polish riders. I will give you an example, last night I had an in-depth conversation with Peter Johns who I have a new engine to pick up for Drew Kemp. I explained to him that Drew is looking to break in to the lower division of Poland in the next couple of years if progression continues. I talked to PJR regarding a new polish engine, he explained in detail ALL HIS ENGINES are of GP standard and no need for a special engine for Poland, I admire his honestly of not trying to get money out of me for another engine. The new engine was only £5200.00 + VAT how cheap is that in modern day motor sports! so I await you reply regarding poles on missile bikes -

World Champion before he is 30! brave words, hope you are right, as I am English through and through, but after Robert's impeccable 2018 he some what lost his way before his accidents etc. My big concern was how easily he was moved out of the way especially on first turns. Having watched speedway from 68 I have seen many a rider when they mature towards the end of their career will back off in tight situations (understandably) my concern is Robert last year at 21 just not showing how hard you have to be to progress. On another note I believe POTENTIALY Drew Kemp has a massive future and could be our next English hope, that is why I have put a serious amount of money into him this year, only this morning a new PJR engine for collection next week -

Audenshaw programme fetched £340, I bid at £320, gutted I got outbidded! -
Very pleased to be part of Drew Kemp sponsorship for 2020, spoke to him at the Paradise Park on Sunday. Very professional young lad, hope all concerned with Ipswich will give him time, big step up for him, but I believe he as a big future

The point I am trying to make is whoever is responsible for the pricing of tickets absolute give away
-
Absolute bargain price for two days racing, on arguably one of the best tracks in the world, modern stadium excellent facilities. Think Belle Vue have smashed with such give away prices. So pleased for Belle Vue they thoroughly deserve it
