Glasgow Tigers Vs Poole Pirates 21st August

I added Bournemouth as its 20 mins away, i think carlisle is the next biggest to Workington and is about 50 mins away,Poole has a bigger catchment area, im trying to point out theres more chance of a bigger crowd at Poole ie die hards than at Workington as you need more of the population to attend, just out of curiosity how many attend from Bournemouth? -

Poole is vastly larger than Workington, with a population difference of roughly 118,000 more people. While Workington is a modest industrial town of about 25,448 residents, Poole has a population of approximately 143,418 people, making it nearly 6 times larger. thats without Bournemouth added -
Put Cairns and Rushen in and you would still be favourites

I meant in general,,years ago teams would drop a rider to get another in just for the playoffs, they didnt do the UK but came in just for it
-
Me too,,i can see the reasoning behind the deadline,it was to stop the Robert Lambert situation of signing someone in time for the playoffs, but thats dropping a rider not replacing an injured one. And how was Scunny supposed to plan on the possibility Gilkes gets injured a week ago?
-
Scunny have done 11 champ and 4 bsn so 15 out of 20,,75% Glasgow have done 10 champ and 4 bsn so 14 out of 20..70% so i cant see why they would be blocked
-
Are Scunny expected to run with 6 men? i can understand if it was a transfer but surely you are allowed to replace an injured rider?
-
Hows your teams efforts to find a replacement going? no doubt playing catch up on the fixtures you will keep using Kennett then get a ringer in for the playoffs? Best interests of Poole speedway.. Gilkes was injured in the crash with Ace Pjiper not retired,,Gilkes was a replacement for Lambert so we cant bring him back. Well done on getting a new rider, ive no doubt if he is over her or coming over he will get loads of track time as we dont race there until the 21st

The club a rider signs for first gets priority in my opinion, not a club in Poland Denmark or Timbuktu after, We all want whats best for a rider but you cant have clubs saying hes ours now he rides when we tell him.. But i quess theres soo many loopholes its hard to say who he signed for first...do you go by,, hes rode for us for 5 yrs or at the beginning of each season?maybe why riders say in May June they are pleased to say they have signed for another season in Poland? I think Pickering signed for us as he wasnt in a team abroad but got picked as he looked a promise,Scunny should get priority unless its a rearranged match but of his team decides they are racing on friday and he goes abroad he should be banned here for a week...but Poland would ban him for the season if he didnt go

You can even play footy with the Scunny riders if you want...the above post sounds to me like someone years ago wanted to get involved but got told to F.....Off. i like the idea of a track walk, especially if someone explained what riders are looking for..its about understanding, how tracks change, which lines riders like, how much prep has gone into it, By talking to the riders you get to know whos approachable or who to avoid, anyway the riders arent working on their bikes its the mechanics..after 7pm they go and get changed then the bikes warm up
