  1. Well done to the Buffalo's. Sad news about sam. Hope all goes well, sure Vince will let us know as soon as he can. Wishing you all the best Sam.
  2. Because Jawa etc wouldn't make any money out of doing that Let's just hope the powers that be are not thinking of making it compulsary for the youngsters to have one of these. If they are I know one young lad who will not be getting one (cannot afford it) and will be very dissappointed if he isn't able to ride. Suppose we will just have to wait and see.
  3. !!!!!!!!!! Cut down costs??????? Knowing Jawa I bet these engines are just as expensive (if not more) than a 500cc Will probably be ok as long as the youngsters are still allowed to ride a 500, if they want. If not I bet there will be a lot of p'd off parents out there who's youngster already has a 500 but will not be allowed to ride it, not everyone can afford to get another bike/engine. Be interesting to see what happens!!
  4. That's great news for you and George. That was the one thing you kept having problems with, vans Did you ever find out what happened to that one left by the OTA See you soon.
  5. There is a sidecar team who has some of those!!
  6. Quite!! Seeing as this was the last GP thought they might have shown it but obviously not. Back to those 'poofs' again!!!! Bet if one of them fell on thier butt like Andreas did they wouldn't just rub it and carry on!!! The real men were out there in the shale giving it thier all.
  7. Well I'm off downstairs to watch now. Let's hope for some cracking racing. See ya later.
  8. I don't want to watch a couple of' poofs' bat aball backwards and forwards. I want to see real men with a bit of bottle, come on bring on the speedway and let the tennis buffs watch thiers later!!!!
  9. Have noticed this season, as we now go to Somerset, that some of the refs seem to have a real grudge against the youngsters in the 2nd halves, it's as though they are taking up thier precious time, so let's make it difficult for them!! Friday's 2nd half was a total farce after what had been a good meeting with no 'unusua'l refereeing decisions!!!!!!! They are just starting out in the sport and are obviously going to make mistakes, so think just a little tolerance isn't too hard to find is it? Yes Carp it is a proper 'bloody' competition as you put it, but do you know the rule book of where you 'work' from cover to cover!!!!! Also think that some of the lads who have posted on here have a very valid point when they say about what they see on the tv and also the problems they have actually obtaining the right helmet colours etc. Just keep smiling lads Fines and exclusions are not the way to encourage these youngsters, who to be honest we need if speedway is to continue.
  10. Happy Birthday George Hope you have a great evening, see you tonight. Jacqui & Jamie
  11. does anyone know the team riders for all the teams..
  12. I actually have two!!! Firstly Ivan Mauger. I have put this before but as a young girl I used to hitchhike up to Exeter from Tiverton to watch the Falcons. I always loved his style of riding and some of his off track antics!! Secondly Scott Autry, well what is there to say. Again I was young, he was American, very good looking and the perfect gentleman. He always was so polite and always said hello with a big smile to add. He was another rider that could thrill on the track. I still have one off his visors, which he gave to me!!!
  13. Think they made a big mistake with the choice of group this year. The point was proved when Scott etc came out on track to inspect it and THEN the crowd went wild. I do actually like Bjorn Again but NOT at the GP. Yes more races from the juniors next year please. Also a little bit later as I doubt there were more than 10,000 in the stadium when they were racing.
  14. Well said Madgers. It certainly spurred Jamie on to train harder his comment was "If I train hard I could be out there in a couple of years time". So if he was saying that wonder how many of the other Junior/trainee riders thought the same. Lets hope this will now be a permenant fixture. Well done lads, you were all great.
  15. Wonderful pics Julie, nice to see the face behind the lens as well Like the pic of the U15 winners (Weymouth round?) with some Trophies!!!
  16. Good Luck to all the Junior riders. As you say, on a bit early but at least I know I will now be up there in time to watch!!! Steve, do you think Tim will survive my driving? lol George, look out for the banner See you some time Saturday.
  17. Just the Sambuca Jules lol Yeah wishing you all the best mate, hope to be seeing you sometime soon Just don't teach Jamie any bad habits lol
  18. Oh dear Vince not more problems with our 'lady' ref!!! Do they have to prove themselves each season or is it once they have the licence they keep it? Seems by past comments on here she definitely need a refresher course before someone is very seriously hurt through her mistakes!! Anyway well done Sam, what a day he had and you must be shattered Vince with all that driving. Well at least you should ( I use that in the loosest term!!) get a bit of rest now!! Well done to all the lads, enjoy your break, see you next season!!!
