  1. Just made a phone call and i have been told that all fans are welcome from 11 am the start of the press day, Just that the fans are not allowed in to the network meeting and area where they have the food for all the local companies. But fans are welcome to participate and take photos. " i got my new samsung phone so i can get a selfi with someone special" xxxxxx
  2. from what i have heard it is open to fans but fans are not allowed into the guest and coorparte business part in the bar upstairs however they are allowed to be admitted up their if they purchase a wriost band for £5 to meet the new sponsors, wine and dine with some big companies in sussex and watch the action (this is only what i have overheard at practice on sunday though)
  3. Hi Steve cant tell you who she works for as she is more interested in Kent and i am now more interested in Eastbourne, I have a feeling that 16,000 people is what the data base is as its a big data base and spread all over the south coast, i have done a bit of digging of creativepod and they are big players in media and work for big companies, If your company has an invite and my friends has an invite means something is going on, I cant wait till press day.
  4. yep but how many of them will turn up lets say 10% still 1600 people i am an extra person as i would never have gone before but i am really going to have a look at this press day. Oh yeah also i had an email form my mate and she said in the Eastbourne Tourist leaflet its got a speedway Ad on page 15, So it does look as if they are pushing speedway at Eastbourne. what happens if it all goes to plan and they pick up more sponsors and you have to agree that networks as we are part of it on here really works, Most tracks could always do with more sponsors to help and looking at the way Eastbounrne are going to do things now is a bit like Kings Lynn did it in 2000 onwards, Being realistic Bob Dugard never ran the stadium just ran a team of his friends and did it the old style and old way, Len silver is doing that at Kent and its gone a bit down hill, You have to move with the times, Fair play to Connor and Martin, I wonder if the new sponsor is going to be something special, not another car company or tyre company, Maybe its someone like Bp or possible a Music Band?
  5. Hi all just to put some light on things i have read on the speedwaygb.co web site about the new look Eastbourne Press day. Found out a bit more as a mate of mine has a business in Hastings, She had an invite yesterday as follows: Creative Pod and the Eastbourne Eagles would be delighted to invite you to join us on the 20th March at Eastbourne Speedway for the unveiling of their new headline sponsor, owner and 2015 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet leading local business professionals and the 2015 Eastbourne Eagles riders over a networking lunch and presentation. Agenda: 11.30 Arrival and opportunity to see the bikes up close 12.00 Presentation announcing headline sponsor, owner and team 12.30 Lunch served whilst new riders showcase their skills around the track 13.00 press call with chance to have a go on a bike If you would like to attend the event or need any more information, please let me know. Thanks Creativepod. I have then been told as she phoned someone to ask to what was going on and they gave her a run down of what’s going on, Youth Riders 125cc, 150cc, 250cc, 500cc, Main Team Riders and Vintage riders, Also pitbikes are going to have a race around as well. She was also been told that 16,000 people have been invited from the sponsors data base. So with a guess the “Big Sponsor” that going to be named on this day. It looks like its a genuine Big Sponsor and is pushing things to change at Eastbourne. Local business, Local Press people have been invited and the Local Tv are going to be there along with some very famous local people? Also all the fans are welcome to come along and enjoy the party. A press day with a difference. I have made up my mind and I am going to do is go down and have a look and see for myself, does anyone else want to come and join me. I can see what is going on as the excitment of a new era and a new press day it seems to me as if this club has changed and it has put it out to all the other speedway clubs to open the doors and be a bit different, Mr Ceglio will you meet up face to face and share a cup of tea and see how things have changed. I feel that this will be one of the biggest launches ever of Eastbourne speedway and possibly one of the biggest step forward for speedway and networking.
  6. People? People who sit at home are safe people they hide behind keyboards and type away and are really wannabe speedway riders / refs / team managers/, people who enjoy themselves are people who have a great life but don’t really achieve as much as others, people who are business people tell others to do the dangerous things and People who have fun and ride motorcycles are entertainers at all levels. 1 month to the start of the season? but they have already had a meeting the BEN FUND so the season has started, Years ago Dean Barker got hurt on press day, Adam Roynon also got badly hurt at Kings Lynn when having a practice for Team GB, So why sit at home? they may as well go and enjoy a good day out, Luckily nobody was hurt but they could have been but that’s life. Maybe we should all have a go, with a ride and slide or get a few pit bikes and join in, my son has a money bike which I have a go at racing anyone, bring it on. My friend might be able to arrange something if we all club together I love to have a go, and to be beaten by a lady.
  7. Oh right well maybe then the kent riders can go to sittingbourne to ride.
  8. Hi all long time since i had my input . Went to Swindon yesterday to see the Ben Fund, Wow what a bloody cold afternoon, I watched Mr Tom Brennan Pass the " Wonder Kid Bickley" not only did he do it in the first race he also did it again in the Second Heat as well and lowered his time by 2 seconds, I hope that Bickley is not going down the road of Johnson with all the Bike and sponsors but it could be he is another journey man? Well Done Tom, pleased to see you did the talking on the Track, I was a bit disappointed that to see the photos of Eastbourne having again more practice for all their own riders, but as they have said would Len Silver let Eastbourne practice at Sittingbourne before the first meeting I don’t think so. Richard Andrews looks great in the photos, I think now they have the advantage on all the other clubs with more practice, A big whopping for anyone who goes to Arlington i think at the start of the season, If i am right in thinking that little Tom rides at Eastbourne most weekends and i guess that’s why he has picked up and is going so well hats off to him as a quite lad with a big future, All he needs to do is learn to gate and he will be unstoppable wonder if Mr Mason will help him gate. I found this on Eagles Tv last week, the guy who got run over was lucky it was rider on the bike who was also as lucky a foot to the right and he would have gone out the gate , but its good to see that Arlington is now becoming a motor cycle centre rather than just falling away into dusty surrounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PW3lOtsXaE it made me go ooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooo thats going to hurt in the morning.
  9. Opps sorry for that i just thought you was someone else, Well done for doing the cycle ride.
  10. That is good of you Sean all for charity too, , But i think Mr C was wondering if you have a team place anywhere or even the Number 8 spot?
  11. mason to go down into the team then owen up to number one followed hot on his toes by wilson, Means by mid way in the season they will either have 3 riders all on the around the same average or an outstanding number 1.? Let wait and see
  12. Solo i think your right but Stoke have a good team and cant count on the New Guy as he may not travel well, also he might not be as good as he thinks i just hope that Team Dugard have got another plan to put it right if it goes wrong? Maybe keep an eye open on team and see if it will change in a month or so, Got a bet on with Mr Cegliio that i get a free meeting, I think that Eastbourne will win away on there travels for a change and it will be a good year for them, A win at Kent, Rye House, Buxton, Birmingham, Coventry is on my list. possible one more.
  13. Oh thats so funny counter, I am looking forward to my sons next football match at the local green for them to Jog out on the tiny pitch to find the best reserve sitting on the subs bench? A fully grown male with lots of tattoos and a beard with his name on his tracksuit top BDJ all crossed out from the other clubs he has played for but still living the dream U5’s Here we come pmsl. How the table has started to Turn, Maybe Penny can jog on and give him his water and safety blanket.
  14. Well done to Brendan for putting the record straight the same way Eastbounre did it, he seemes a nice guy but he appears to show his true colours came out in the end towards the lady. Wonder how crazy he went when Eastbounrne sacked him, i bet the Air was Blue. At least he can see that it works both ways with the media and i think he has had more coverage in few weeks in the speedway star then he ever did racing, he was not the first to go wont be the last in speedway.
  15. ermany and wance are next to each other and bradley and brenden are miles apart but all that matters is Kent and Eastboune have got some good teams to bring entertaining speedway back to the south east where it has died for many a year. Eastbourne have the better side this year which i am looking forward to seeing them race, they have said that there are changes going on at Eastbourne i hope its for the best, Kings Lynn did it about 10 years ago and i have to say they are one of the best staduims to go too. Small changes have to start somewhere. Just found this on youtube and i think it was also on Facebook seems like they have started to use the Track to increase local kids interest? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yNXcHxfI7Y Well thats put me off Brendan i cant allow my kids to follow someone like that, No respect for others opinions, I had read some of the stuff that he put up on the media about being the best reserve in the EL, Matt Ford is no mug i am sure if Brendan was as good as he says he would still be Poole race suit Today? Yes it was poor the way Eastbourne sacked Johnson but from what Ceglio has told me and what i have read i would not want him in my Team, He seems to be a big player on the media front and not on the track, Seems to me if it was better the other way around.
  16. Well who cares how long the flight is and how may points he is going to score i say Bring Back Brenden .
  17. have you not heard of air travel... 12 hour flight and hes in hahahah
  18. SCB your true to your word that it does look like that the level out there is not as good as it is here and going on that remark of what you said maybe Eastbourne should contact the BSPA for a reduction in his average and down to a 4 points not 5 which means they could bring in Brenden again. Lets hope that BWD travels better and if he is as good as other pepole have said then he will be fine, But it looks like Ceglio is going to owe me a free speedway meeting.
  19. SCB i think no matter if its good or bad means that 14 points is a winner? If the sport is that low of a standard in NZ means that the young lad has to come to Europe to race to improve, Lucky for him that he had the right to race in the UK but 14 points is pretty damm good. I have just looked on the Kent web site to see that Danno virgil is back in the UK after a winter away racing in AUS and nobody kicked up about him being out there. But 14 point on my score card from any other rider would be great, Maybe Mr SCB you will have to put your hands up with Penny and say Eastbourne was right, as much as it hurts me to say it being on the boarders of Kent and Sussex. " Maybe we can go to Eastbourne" at the moment me and the family are going to be at Eastbourne for the first meeting against Kent. And a month Later MR Ceglio will also pay for me to to else where when i win my bet.
  20. See i heard that he was no good he dropped a point , Me and the family are looking forward to seeing the young lad, I guess he is lucky to have a link to the UK via ancestory rights but even if he was not in the NL he could go into the PL or EL as he has won a state Championship, Eastbourne have done well to get hold of him, And my bets looking as if i am going to owe Mr Ceglio some money for George Wood fund. And i agree with Penny that Brenden was unfortunate that Team Dugard could not use a calculator and read a rule book, but i also agree with Solo that Bunyan has been out to New Zealand and taken the Championship also not having any rights to ride there then take the GP Wildcard? I would be really Pi*sed if i was a New Zealander for that to happen, If Dugard had got it right and dumped someone else and fitted in Brenden in i still don’t think everyone would be happy, But again rules are rules and they are there to read and bend to each and everyone’s advantage, Matt Ford has done it in the past. A new Start for Eastbourne and let’s hope that it works for them this year as this would be a shame to see it close. Maybe go up to the PL if crowds are good?
  21. Penny your spot on, Dugard should have read a rule book and not made such a simply mistake but looking at the footage of the Wilson guy Lets call him BWD i would say and have to be fair in this case he does look better in NZ then Brenden Johnson looks here. If BWD makes it here as good as he has in NZ then i have to agree with Dugard and co they made the right choice. And Mr Ceglio you going to stand up and have a bet with me about BWD 10 points in the first month? as i am looking forward to it a free meeting from you.
  22. You're right Alex nothing more that Penny moaning about the rules again, maybe an investment in a rule book like Eastboune now have with averages and penny might get the rule about passport and ancestry rights.
  23. Mr Ceglio you do make me smile, half term and the kids are off school driving me cazy and wanting to watch speedway to find out that you are putting out stuff with an Average on it? I put it down to you Mr Ceglio that if Mr Wilson (if its him) does get over 10 points at any one of his meetings in the first month of racing i will personally dontate £100 to George Woods Racing fund, this way it will help all the riders in your team if he does not get double figuers then you can treat me and my family and a few friends to a meeting at Kent or Eastbounre and have a drink with us. I think i am on a winner here. xx just looking at Eastbounre fixture list now.
  24. so SCB and Greyhoundp there is a good chance that george can put up his average to a possible 5 or 8 points at reserve? Thats good news for Eastbourne also along with Owen and the so called Wilson bradley dean or dean wilson? whats going on with him as its gone very quite on bradley wots his name. Maybe he has a visa problem? Anyway its all up in the Air just roll on to the start of the Season and looking forward to seeing the USA Dream Team at Kent and Eastbourne.
  25. George is Young Lad with a lot of talent from what has been shown but its just enough to get you to go and watch. Looks as if he has already made good progress and with the Help from Paul Hurry, Martin Dugard, Mitch Godden. I can see that the step he has made is a good one, Kent grasstrack and Eastbourne Speedway go hand in hand, Its good to see that Eastbourne are trying something different for a change, I will be happy to give up my grasstrack sundays and have a trip down to the sunshine coast to look to see the changes. Thats after Lakeside on a Friday.
