  1. That would be starting point for transparency for BSPA to let the fans know where and when the AGM is actually taking place. However they are probably worried the fans will stage a demonstration..... Now there's an idea!
  2. I never hinted, I know as much as you and simply gave my opinion after reading the most recent press release on the stars website.
  3. Looks like that.... Can't see how a competitive team is going to be put together unless the rules for the elite league change to water it down to a level where it is basically a 45 point premier league. Also sounds like changes on the PR side and track preparation are in the pipeline.
  4. Haza you are talking a lot of sense, holding a press and practice day was something I always used to look forward to. As well as a way to introduce new riders to the fans and sponsors it was a great way to raise money for a local charity..... or as was the case back in 2006, Red nose day which was featured on National TV. It also was the best chance of getting the team together for some fun and mischief which helped create comradery between the riders. When I arrived at King's Lynn it was in the days of Lawrence Rogers, and the club couldn't really go backwards after I witnessed the debacle of the multiple EF's. Once Lawrence was shipped out and Rob joined we moved forward t an astonishing rate, we found the right forumla and was the envy of many clubs. One of the many highlights for me was completing the Premier League treble in front of crowds in the multiple thousands rather than hundreds..... and that was in late October when a woolly hat and scarf was needed! It was my idea to take King's Lynn into the Elite League and I believe that was the right decision at the time with the momentum we had behind us...... however I believe it is now the wrong place for King's Lynn to be and for any chance of the club to become a success again it must drop back down, get back to regular weekly meetings and build a team with loyal and passionate riders who the fans can relate to. On that basis I would be looking at signing up the following team (maybe over the limit but have no idea due to average conversions): 1. Robert Lambert 2. Michael Palm Toft (someone I tried signing from Scunthorpe back in the PL days) 2. Nicolas Porsing 3. Kai Huckenbeck 4. Lewis Kerr 5. Lewis Rose 6. Josh Bailey 7. Tom Stokes Mascot: Chris Mills
  5. Yes I could by looking back through the press releases and piecing a timeline together. However for now I will go from memory and say that Mads, Lewis k, Robert, Rory, Troy and Lewis R had all signed on the dotted line prior to the race night being changed. Therefore I believe Danish league on a Wednesday was not a consideration for any of those 6 riders contrary to what you previously stated. Once again please correct me if I am wrong?
  6. Correct me if I am wrong but weren't the majority of our riders signed when we changed from a Wednesday to a Thursday night?
  7. A very good appeal letter in my opinion. He has raised a number of issues but in my opinion the one which has the potential to cause the SCB the biggest headache is explaining for the benefit of rider and public safety, what if any ongoing training and assessments ALL referees receive. I believe the insurance company who provide indemnities for British speedway will take a great interest in this and one would hope it will lead to an improvement in the quality of refereeing over coming years. From previous dealings with Gary Thompson, I am confident Mr Hemsley will get a fair appeals hearing.... which I for one will not question the outcome of.
  8. Many of you are probably not aware but a few years back I worked with David Hemsley in his initial search for a home for Leicester Speedway and gaining the councils support. I didn't do this for financial gain but for the betterment of British Speedway. Speaking from personal experience I always found David very professional whilst clearly determined, I have nothing but admiration for the hard work he has put in and the financial risk he and his wife have taken. I am sure he will look back and remember what I warned him about the becoming a BSPA member and if this is the straw that breaks the camels back then so be it. No matter all the faults he may or may not have he is in my opinion being treated unfairly... something those in charge of the sport may live to regret as it could be the card that brings the stack down. Though saying that I would not be surprised to see the club put up for sale and a fairly local club without a home at the end of the season trying to snap it up cheap.
  9. I think the Stars are missing Kerr massively and I think it would be unfair to apportion any blame on him for the situation we are currently in. However we can not change the past and S.Lambert would be my number 1 target right at this moment. Also if we are serious about a play off spot my number 2 target would be Dudek in place of Batchelor. May seem harsh but whilst I would usually be happy to wait for a rider to nurse himself back from injury this is a rider who clearly only cares about himself and not the team.
  10. Seems like the only agenda here is you trying to rubbish me..... come on Tsunami tell me who you really are because that will help us connect the dots up?
  11. Anybody else find it improper that the SCB hearing had two speedway promoters sitting on it with one clearly having an interest in another Elite League team?
  12. To be fair Fred Kings Lynn offer fans a cash refund on the night so no harm done..... BTW how is your refund coming along from the first belle vue meeting which was cancelled about 6 weeks ago?
  13. Nieve to say it is the same thing when you consider one side has identified who their sources were whilst the other has not.
  14. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/9792116.Pirates__Stars_chief_in_Twitter__cheats__slur/ Then there was this one 'cheats never prosper' i wonder who tweeted that? lol Certainly brought back memory's reading that, the thing that has surprised me is the final quote from Matt Ford is the same now as it was back then. Seems to have practiced it down to a tee 😛
  15. So you answer a question with a question and then go on to tell me how Poole speedway is the epicentre of the universe. I think once again you have proved you have nothing to offer to ANY discussion on this forum.
  16. Maybe you are not aware but i resigned from promoting 3 seasons ago. At that time kings lynn had finished in the play offs in it's first two seasons of elite league racing, and prior to that we had won 9 Major Premier League competitions in the previous 5 year's. Therefore, may i ask what i have my self to blame for and what rod i have made for my own back?
  17. To be fair i have not been prive to the previous cat fights, so without prejudice i would say starman is clearly the one in the wrong.
  18. Matt is a great business man, shame he can not show a little bit of good will and compassion towards ALL of the other clubs, because without them he would not have a business.
  19. I believe this proves that fans do have the power to change the minds and thinking of the people in charge of our sport. Well done to all those involved in achieving this outcome.
  20. As as already been mentioned the race format simply needs to revert back to how it was before FTR was introduced. Too late for that to happen this year so fingers crossed for next year.
  21. After 8 years of promoting you could say i have a good eye for guestiamating the demographics of a crowd, all though i would admit it will not and can not be 100% accurate. I am pleased to hear another crowd this evening, i would have been dissapointed to hear anything else considering it was a top of the table clash and the return of Davey Watt and Adam Ellis 😉
  22. Problem next year no one will want the Brits in their team as their averages will be unattractive. For example newman or auty could end up with a 7 point elite league average at the end of the season whilst schlein could end up with a 4.5 point average due to never riding at reserve and permanently being outscored as a heat leader racing against heat leaders in every other race. Serious issues ahead which ever way you look at it but with enough planning and for example an immediate emegency meeting by the BSPA to retract the rule which moves the reserves into the main body of the team, they may be able to limit the damagitation.
  23. It does raise the question if anyone in the sport has any foresight? From personal experience I have serious doubts that any analysis or research is completed prior to these decisions being made.
  24. I would actually go to the extent of labelling it 'a complete farce' !
