I've been to Gniezno a couple of times and there's no need to buy in advance. The stadium won't sell out, however being there maybe at least an hour before start time will ensure you get a good spot.

Having been to Gniezno a couple of times, I agree with Racers and Royals who had said no problem to buy at the gate on the day. I'd probably advise planning to be inside the stadium at least an hour before the start time.
