No surprise there mate and it's dogdirt but that's the showground management for you ,apparently they charge a very high rental so caterers have to charge above average prices to make ends meet, but they don't care as they get there rent regardless of price and quality. SHAME on the showground authority.

Usual suspects are just having a bit of fun , but I think the management are very close to finalising the 2017 team and not revealing anything until it's all sorted. I do know they had a few combinations they were working on but they are keeping there cards very close to there chests at the moment, so there's no harm in a bit of fun as it will make little difference for those who want to play the guessing game.

Agreed about his talents but you need to accept the full package. Brady Kurtz would be a more attractive proposition on a average almost a point less .

I would imagine if the minimum they came in on was 5 then it will stay the same for them , think the idea is to stop inferior riders coming into the league much better to use our own youngsters than paying out for flights for riders that are no better than what the national league can provide. That's how I see it but like most people I find some of the rules vague .

New regulation for next season all foreign riders must have a minimum 4 point average.

Holub would have to start on a 4 point average but I seriously wouldn't bother , he would be serving a 28 day ban for withholding his services for a start. From what I've seen of him not good on or off track.

That is what we have to concentrate on, first things first and to get a team that can win all it's home matches will get people to come and watch but start losing a few and some fans will stay away . It will also give them some confidence when riding away.

I would be happy with that team . Looks good to me and very solid.

But it didn't pay off did it, not just Ostergaard's fault , the bottom end of the team with Holub, Hall and Halsey was unbalanced , those 3 were never going to get them out of trouble by scoring enough valuable points should any one of the top four be unfortunate with mechanical , injuries or lack of form. The bottom end of the Panthers team after they made the four changes was the weakest in the league and it did not surprise me how they struggled , Workington had gone all season without an away win when they came to the showground , I bet they couldn't believe there luck when they saw what they were up against

I think Flappy was referring to a out and out #1 not just somebody who would be top of the teams averages , but why do people think we have to have a stand out #1 at the expense of weaker scoring reserves , it certainly did not do Panthers any good in 2016, IMO it would be much better to have a all round team with stronger reserves.
