Thats very harsh

Fingers crossed the forecast for the week ahead is to warm up and the sun to shine. Desperately ( like most others clubs ) need a break in this weather so Kev and co can get everything sorted in time for Press and Practice day .

Great weekend and loved my first ice speedway experience. Guess the only downside is the 20 minute delay after every 4 races for the work on the track. On Saturday night the temperature was so cold it certainly started to get through the 5 layers towards the end. I know this has to be done to allow the riders a safe surface to race on I would just of hoped they could maybe have more machines to get the job done quicker. Wont be my last ice speedway experience thats for sure.

How close can you get to the pits before racing / warm up starts ? Would just like to see what the bikes are like up close. Cold temperatures we can dress for, planes not getting us there we cant do much about lol. Fingers firmly crossed and hopefully see you on curve 1

Well hopefully heading out from Leeds Bradford Airport tomorrow for our first taste of live ice speedway. Desperately hope its not the British weather that messes up our plans. We are in Berlin until Monday evening so hoping for 2 great meetings and a bit of sight seeing along the way. Tickets booked for curve 1. Anyone on here know if you can gain access to the pits area before racing to get up close to the bikes ? I race the shale version but would love to get up close to these beasts. cheers Gavin

They had to get it on a certain date to make sure the car parking at the adjacent Karting / moto cross facilities will also be in full sole operation by Redcar Speedway for the 4s meeting. Dont worry everything has been well and truly thought out before this meeting was accepted by the promotion

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what time it would finish on the Sunday evening. Just planning flights and can get one back on Sunday to Newcastle or would maybe need to stay until Monday. Cheers

Last years track was superb and produced great racing. With Terry back again this season Im sure you will see as good if not better.

Im looking to go to Berlin for the meeting on 3/4th of March and very new to the Ice Speedway scene. Does Saturday consist of qualifying and Sunday the final or are they run over a 2 day final format ? Sorry for the ignorance in the post.

All will be revealed tonight. The promotion will put together the best possible team they can under the restraints they have. Sadly we dont have a huge financial backing like a couple of the other clubs so you can only pay out what you can afford. Still reckon Kev and Ben will give a team well worth coming to watch each week. One thing you will get is 100% transparency and any questions will be answered by them.
