2 changes for the Birmingham, Hume has been brought in and so has Dane Nick Agertoft a think that’s how you spell it... let’s hope they have better luck with him than they did the other Dane.

I think in a way as daft as this sounds we have to praise the promotion for going down a totally different route regarding team building obviously the team was going to be different until circumstances changed before the season started. Most fans wanted wholesale changes which we got and fans still aren’t happy? Why would you bring Lindgren back when the majority wanted rid of him last season? It was a risk signing TJ and Bjerre and unfortunately so far it hasn’t paid off. But I actually don’t think we are far off being a good team. I can’t really see many changes being made.

I wouldn’t touch Barker he brings too much baggage with him and I don’t think he’s had brilliant equipment since his Plymouth days. Plus isn’t his average similar to TJ? Don’t think the other 2 you mentioned would improve us at all.

Would Hume not get a reduction?

As daft as it may sound I don't think we are far off being a decent side, the problem is we are massively inconsistent and all 7 haven't really fired at the same time apart from the Berwick meeting and they got a hiding. I think the biggest disappointment for me has been Bjerre I know he's had so many engine problems but I was expecting much more, he's been number 1 for Redcar and Sheffield so he can do it. Jorgensen is what he is could score 12 one night and then 5 the next he's just too inconsistent. May as well have kept Lindgren and used the spare points elsewhere in the team. Maybe if we could fit Hume in once the averages go up I'd go for that but other than that I can't see many if anymore changes being made.

That’s not really a surprise it was a risk signing both at the start of the season because they can be so good one meeting and equally as bad the next.

That maybe the case but it’s not all Danny’s fault, Bjerre and Jorgensen have massively under achieved this season. 5 points off Jorgensen last night is pathetic for a heat leader.

Yeah I understand that but Wallinger has been around the same average for the past 2/3 seasons I don’t think he will get any better and he’s hardly a youngster.

Everyone is allowed an opinion and in truth he isn’t going to get any better is he? Everyone complains that speedway bends the rules but now there sticking to the rules you are still not happy? For arguments sake say Craig cook got released for some reason would you say for example Chris holder could guest because he was unattached? And that the guest booking should be honoured?

No offense to the lad but if he was any good he wouldn’t have been dropped in the first place.

More often that not Morley will score his average or above at home, away will be a different matter but most fans are only concerned about a team that wins home meetings.

What about Aarnio? He didn’t do too bad in the son plus he’s a real trier. Other names Jordan Stewart although might be a year too early for him and obviously Pickering once he’s fit. Not sure on averages of any of those though.

Surely part of the problem here is clubs in the elite league in the past with the sky money just throwing the money towards the top guys and once the money has ran out most of the top boys are on there way because they no longer want to ride for peanuts and in half empty run down stadiums. Surely the promoters must've seen the crowds diminishing year on year and should of cut there cloth accordingly instead of continuing to give the top guys all the money. They must have realized they can't pay top wages if you can't afford it. Ideally you need a pay limit introduced which everyone would stick too but that's easier said than done. Then you wouldn't get riders holding clubs to ransom they would have no choice but to take the deal on the table.

Aye it has to be up there like... our only saving grace could be that the couple of times Flint has been here this season he has struggled. It could well be a case of seeing if Phillips can beat Wallinger which would be dreadful if he can’t. With our reserves tonight puts even more pressure on the top 5.

Is Wallinger really the best we could do? He doesn’t even seem to score that well in the NL most of the time.

Knew he’d possibly be missing home meetings. He’d already agreed a deal to ride in Denmark so they get priority over Birmingham I’d assume your promoters would’ve knew this before signing him! And I’ve no idea if he will miss the next 3 home meetings that mainly depends if he gets picked for his danish team.
