  1. Whist I fully agree with your sentiments Dave and think you are correct... the only issue I see with a change in management is you change with like for like people with the same blinkered mind-set; we have had several changes in management just in the last 10 years but nothing has changed unfortunately; as it still ends up with the self interest mentality and protectionist values... the whole of Speedway needs to change not just the Management Committee of the BSPL They need to implement a set of rules and stick with them instead of abdicating authority everyone needs to sign up to a charter to say that they will stick to them with the best interests of the sport as the basis and work for the common good of all concerned and if promotions cant do that then the punishments need to be severe and I mean severe... oh hang on European Football Super League on a miniature scale hrmmm and what made that lot change People Power and what will make this lot change; nothing because the lunatics are running the Asylum and they are all locked in safe and secure... But when its gone or run into the ground then what; they will cry and say people/fans didn't support it and folk on here will say we told you so... Back to the usual impasse Regards THJ
  2. I would be very worried if I was a Poole fan... Regards THJ
  3. Aye Steve and your lot may be next unfortunately.... Regards THJ
  4. Give? are they free? who do they usually buy these tyres off like? who is the sole UK distributor of these tyres? Anyway there shouldn't be any problems with these tyre going forward now as all the square ones have been used up and the new round ones are coming with a tube of toothpaste to rub round the rim cos that is sure to stop the lumps dropping out of the middle of them? wont it? Regards THJ
  5. I would love to argue against that but unfortunately I think you are right... So I give in now... hopefully the lads put up a better fight... Saying that they put a good effort in at Edinburgh away so who knows... Regards THJ
  6. Well Ged was on the sign in sheet and someone signed in against his name... 2 + 2 = 5 and my bad... but his name was on that sheet Regards THJ
  7. Neil you are right his name was on the gate to be on the spanners for Danny but someone else signed in against his name... (naughty) so he wasn't there... Not that he wouldn't have been made very welcome of course... Regards THJ
  8. Well on the signing in sheet on the pits gate Ged Rathbone signed in as Danny Phillips mechanic so the plot thickens... LOL... I will have to ask the question when I get the chance... Regards THJ
  9. No not one of the previous promotion turned up; even Danny Philips who would normally have his dad Martin as his mechanic brought Ged Rathbone to spanner for him instead and from the old "merry band" inner circle; Steve Brock was there still taking the photographs and Roy Clarke was in attendance standing behind me on the terracing but that was it... Unless anyone knows any different... Regards THJ
  10. Doesn't make him a bad person and it has worked for Cookie in the past!!! Regards THJ
  11. Think it will be R/R as both Jye and Paul have been mentioned but been discounted for various reasons Regards THJ
  12. 7.06 away from home and 7.41 at home... not a great deal for a no1 rider... Regards THJ
  13. They can use Stevie for a home meeting but his average is two high for an away gig... Regards THJ
  14. Cheers Ruff but since this Covid carry on I have vowed never to eat another Chinese take away... I will leave it there otherwise I might get into bother Regards THJ
  15. So fair play to the lad and my info was correct... he still wants to do it but I also heard it was a bad off with someone running into him so it's right and proper the Doc has the final say... He's only a bairn really and will heal well and no doubt will be as keen as mustard to get back in the saddle but there's no hurry for him to rush back... But fair play to him and he sounds like a real tough little nut... Regards THJ
  16. Due to the shortage of riders for this Friday night fixture I can see Newcastle running with R/R rather than bringing in a guest for Ben Barker... Regards THJ
  17. I was told a couple of hours ago that Danny still thinks he might be able to do this meeting as at lunchtime today... and although am not on that bookface thing so I don't know what's been said there the craic today was he still thinks he will be able to do it (but he's the only one who does think that I believe)... So the line up will be a bit fluid at the minute... Regards THJ
  18. Well done the young lads in the second meeting... just as entertaining as the first... But at least they won Regards THU
  19. Commentators curse there Gaz... but never mind good meetin and when am sober a might post summat sensible but we'll done the Monarchs... some very good racing... Josh Pickering move of the night (of the last few years really) the other Aussie Kye took to the spot and looked good and the two Worralls as ever know the fastest way round Brough... and I never thought I would hear myself saying this but get well soon Ben Barker as a scoring no 1 would have made all the difference... in both meetings... Here we go part two the Gems and several more sherbits and I must add I had one of them hog roast banjos and what a feed... it was spot on and even a fat lad like me would struggle to eat two of them... But am gonna try... Regards THU
