  1. Bagpuss is spot on I was meaning my reply would be typical Speedway I am not sure what I have been told makes sense, I guess on one hand if you have a rider who is a RS like Brennan who could still qualify for it, its better if he progresses to take him out of it for a start he will likely be on better money as he's out of the RS system, so there must be an incentive to take him out and run him in the 1-6, so I see the 25% deduction as fair With others say Hume, he rode well at times last season and people could argue he maybe deserves a chance and I personally believe he deserves to be incentivised for someone to take a chance but maybe promoters want to look at other options as they don't think he will progress any further and there are better options in the 1-6 My other question would be, what happens if Brennan has a poor season, can he go back into the RS scheme in 2024? if he meets the criteria
  2. This is a typical speedway reply but based on what I have been told by someone who promotes in the championship Brennan although in terms of age etc. has the criteria for the RS scheme, his on track performance has seen him graduate out of it, Belle Vue thus can't use Brennan as a RS this season but benefit from the reduction has he is now in the 1-6 of the team i.e. not a rising star though still has the age/experience criteria Mountain & Hume no longer qualify for the RS scheme so will not have the benefit of 25% reduction for getting a team place, if they had still qualified for the system but had graduated from it in terms of performances last season then they would get the 25% reduction Right or Wrong, promoters see things differently I would say, and I guess until one is used in a side we will not know for sure as the rules have zero clarity. Based on that I guess someone like Flint could have been used in the 1-6 at Wolves with a 25% discount but based on his 2022 This has confused me even writing the explanation down where is the SCB when you need them
  3. 25% deduction only counts if they are still eligible for the Rising Star scheme but not used as a RS Mountain and Hume have to make do with the standard 2.5% brit reduction Would Zagar and Hans fit the final two spots? I am not sure why I am even suggesting that because the budget has gone on Doyle and they are just hoping riders find improvement such as King, Riss etc. so any rider in the guise of Zagar, Holder, Shamek etc. are all not on the shopping list
  4. I wouldn't ever base anything off one season in Speedway due to rider injuries etc. always look for me over 3 seasons if there is enough statistics for it, last season was not a great season for Jake but he did suffer from injury which one could argue made his average suffer, should be 7+ in the championship and 4.8+ in the prem at the very least, capable of 8+ and 5+ respectively if all things fall into place I guess in terms of prem Thomson needs that opportunity in the prem to see what he can do
  5. compared to the previous year last season was competitive at least so was a big improvement the issue is when you show signs of being competitive and then falling short, you would hope that the powers that be identify this (as they have allegedly said publicly) and put things right for 2023 If they signed Barker & Holder for example I would think ok they are learning from failings last season, if the riders then go out and underperform thats not on the management as such But sticking with the same old even if Richie is announced next thats still what I call same old, there is nothing inventive there - perhaps because not many want to come to the UK anymore
  6. What do the lions fans think about Allen & Mountain taking the last two slots in the side?
  7. Richie Worral named in the next 48hrs and then Batch on Monday Roll on 2023
  8. May as well name thr remaining riders all at once and put us deeper into our misery
  9. Make sure you pick up a club baby grow last year was £29.99 this season £149.99
  10. 70% of me think its Batch, Riss + 1 3% of me thinks it could be a big hitter 27% of me thinks Louis and Ritchie have 4 names and 3 big question marks on paper not having a clue what to do
  11. Unfortunately its going to be Riss, Batch plus One which means no big hitter For me at £22 might still go as long as kids are still free but what it will do is probably drive away that younger fan base who have to transition into adulthood, who love to go for free but once it comes to paying these type of costs they will fall away and spend the money in other areas My daughter would now rather ME save the £22 and put my savings towards her ITFC season tickets which are over £100+ each so guess my Speedway may well be reduced out of the teams named so far, I would likely go and watch a Bewley race against Doyle, wolves/sheffield/leicester don't interest me although I will be going to a Leicester away meeting - still wait to see what Lynn and Pboro are offering, wouldnt mind seeing Jakobsen at Foxhall again so maybe I am back for between 2-4 meetings only missed I believe one last season
  12. Will definitely be version 2 maybe without Worral, the budget goes on Doyle, you'd need 5000 at foxhall weekly to have Emil in the side
  13. Doyle Rew Kennett Manzares King Heeps Thomas
  14. I'd just be interested to know how many people say sign up to BSN
  15. I wouldn't want Simon Lambert in the team
  16. Anyone else find it odd the rising star rider is announced now and not later? Announcing a rider in the main body would give a better indication of what to expect overall Makes me feel like perhaps they dont have all 7 riders secured yet or have been let down on primary targets perhaps due to budgets
  17. Cant see there being enough budget to go around which is a shame when other clubs can attract Holder/Musielak or Kurtz/Bewley and Ipswich have Doyle/King
  18. Think you can fit in Riss, Ellis and someone like Barker but Ellis will be at Sheffield
