  1. Maybe the worry is more for Sheffield because Louis mentioned about the cost of bringing Pedersen to Sheffield... maybe they might go bust offering Nicki too much wonga or he leaves when they can't afford to pay him, don't buy into them being able to get him because of sponsorship, Witches sponsorship is spread among the team as a whole as probably with most sides unless of course Sheffield have an individual sponsor just for Pedersen. If I were at Ipswich right now, i'd be letting Ayres go now and spreading those points across the board Ipswich Witches 1. Nicolai Klindt 7.43 2. Cameron Heeps 6.30 3. Jake Allen 5.56 4. Eddie Kennett 5.53 5. Danny King 6.65* 6. Nico Covatti 5.27 7. Scott Nicholls 5.36 Then before the play-offs or before this transfer window goes... you're most like to get a Musielak or Bjerre to committ to the last 25-40% of meetings and changes can be made... So perhaps Nicholls/Kennett in now and then replace with Bjerre/Ayres at the crunch time of the season
  2. that was the German fella i mentioned just forgot his name, what would his average be?
  3. Milik That German fella Zagar Pawlicki Mechelsen Holder Lindback? Doubt it will be any of these lol
  4. Tungate would actually be a good signing for Ipswich lol
  5. Probably waiting for Chris to return back from the Oz championships
  6. poor equipment and lack of general help was an issue last time wasn't it
  7. 1. Doyle (Swindon) 2. Andersen (Peterborough) 3. Riss (Kings Lynn) 4. Bewley (Belle Vue) 5. Holder (Ipswich) 6. Douglas (Wolves) 7. Morris (Sheffield)
  8. 1 Wolves 2 Ipswich 3 Swindon 4 Kings Lynn ______________ 5 Sheffield 6 Belle Vue 7 Peterborough Swindon to win the play off final vs Wolves
  9. Is it not a case of the club waiting on Holder to finish top 4 of the aussie championship to get his Visa? Then the last 3 signings will be announced sharpish
  10. yes but only marketed to the same people i.e. those already following on social media so the kids get in with a paying adult. If they reached out to schools within a 20 mile radius that is quite some number of kids to target also a 16-20 reduced ticket would be good for those in college or lower income i.e. minimum wage/apprentice wages
  11. A half-season ticket would be a good introduction would still like to see more done with local schools to allow them free entry with a paying adult, but that in itself is a big task for the club to sort out
  12. to be fair with the amount of "top riders" then not many teams can really go the Swindon route anyway, so for me having two solid reserves who can take 7 riders each would be the best way forward, If Holder was available I would have dropped Klindt out of the side
  13. It clearly says if I was part of the promotion that is the type of side I'd build.
  14. you would if you can guarantee their machinery is on point
  15. Seems two spots are up for grabs but If I were the Boro promotion I would be looking to go for something like this 1. Bjerre 2. Barker 3. Tungate 4. Andersen 5. Iversen 6. Garrity 7. Ostergaard
  16. I can confirm that there are 5 riders on that list that are correct
  17. Perhaps they can forget Klindt and go with 1. Holder 2. Heeps 3. Harris 4. Allen 5.King 6. Covatti 7. Nicholls
  18. Or people who arent actually committed so you end up doing everything lol
  19. My experiences of committees have been awful
  20. I would be happy with Chris Holder, think he would come in with a point to prove, and he would enjoy the tracks Ipswich, Sheffield, Peterborough, Belle Vue, Kings Lynn, Swindon - all good tracks for him Think he would average a low 8 if he was signed up.
  21. Holder would be good King should improve as last season I saw some woeful home performances Heeps I cant see him increasing, would like to see it but he is one I wouldn't have brought back on his current average Allen should improve Klindt should see a slight increase Covatti I think is the same bracket as heeps, will be strong at 6/7 then when in the main body may struggle Ayres would be good if he just scores his average So 3 or 4 increases among that septet But as ever it is all just opinions
  22. Or nobody wants Foxhole as a home track baldy lol I only used 3k as a figure as that's the rumoured amount Zagar was on just to show up. Time will soon tell
  23. I think if Ipswich really do want to compete.... now I know I have no clue what Pedersen is on at Sheffield but he must be at least on around £3k+ a meeting What I would like to see from the promotion is the Witches to go out and get a Pole, and a top level one at that.... Bartosz isn't going to happen thats for sure, but there might be some kind of possiblity for Dudek or Janowski I say Janowski because he has come here before, and has he not been left out of the Polish national squad for 2020? not sure on his Swedish commitments yet either But lets look at it as not much of a gamble but there are 5,000 poles + living in Ipswich/Felixstowe and 12,000 located in Suffolk... i've met a fair number of these poles (well say about 100) and they are all mainly younger generation who come here and work then go home or come here and settle but send money home etc. I would say out of this 100 there have been about 40 of them who like Speedway, about a dozen who have attended Cardiff or watch speedway live when they go home so if the Witches went and got Janowski in who is a big name Pole, paid £3k per meeting Average out at £18 entry into Foxhall, thats an extra 167 people through the gate to cover that cost, I would imagine you would most likely see an extra 100 or so non-poles if Witches got Janowski and if marketed correctly in the local area and on social media then you would see more of the polish community come to Speedway more frequently and thus covering the cost of the wages to Janowski. For me, I am hoping that something along these lines is seriously being looked at by the club, if GN is willing to add a bit of sponsorship in there too etc. it could work
  24. Top 8 to 10 GP boys wont really want in, I know Doyle is an exception but he blossomed late so in reality he is earning as much as he can before he retires, isn't it the top 6 in GP next year guarantee a spot for year after...so if you fancy a top 6 spot you wont want to do the UK as well. So leaves me thinking Holder, Milik, Iversen, Zagar, maybe Lindback? The likes of Woofy, Bartosz, Janowski, Vaculik, Freddie, Dudek, Madsen, Emil etc would not want the UK The young up and coming poles such as Drabik probably wouldn't be interested. Those not in GP maybe long shots Jepsen Jensen, Michelsen or Pawlicki
