Also dont forget Cook wasn't actually an Aces rider. They rented him every season from Edinburgh. So he knew every season that he had to negotiate a new contract and wasn't guaranteed a team place.

Time to move on, Cook has been a good servant to the club but all this talk of loyalty is a joke. He has been loyal while the Aces paid him what he asked for, now that the club offer what they can afford he obviously rejected it that's why he is not in the aces plans for 2019. If he can get a better offer elsewhere then good for him but the grass is not always greener elsewhere as many riders have found out. He says he didn't want to leave but obviously he did not except the offer or else he would be lining up for us next season.

Worrall struggled last season after breaking his leg he is not heat leader standard in my opinion and no-one knows how Bewley will be returning after serious injury so I would like to see Bjerre and one of the holders as replacement for Cook and Tungate just my opinion I'm sure some will agree with me and some wont. Just looking forward to the first meeting with whoever represents the aces.

If you were talking of riders such as Mauger, or Crump you might have had a point, you are having a laugh if you think cook adds to the gate, If he's pricing himself out then its time for him to go, the management have a budget and have to stick to it.

Looks like workington have not included Bewley, perhaps they know he wont be fit to start the season. Will be interesting to see if the Aces think the same.

Although the aces will resign Bewley no one can say how his bad injuries will affect his comeback he may well comeback flying or he could struggle to get anywhere near his pre accident form. There has been many good riders who did not comeback to there best after serious injury, P.C. was a good example after his serious arm injury. I really hope he comes back successfully only time will tell.

I see that the swedish league div 1 elitserien will now race Tuesday and Thursday and the div 2 Allsvenska will race Monday Wednesday Friday What affect will this have on uk teams a number of riders here race in sweden?

Agree with you especially the machinery, riders could save thousands by going back to basic bikes which in my opinion look like proper speedway bikes. No fancy bike covers, wheels, guards, frames etc, I just want to see good racing it makes no difference to me if the are racing bikes that look like a F1 car. Every time they crash they have to virtually rebuild the bike keep them basic and save shed loads of money.

Dont think the riders want any changes most double up and get plenty of guest rides. The majority make good money and wouldn't want less meetings.

Why is it that riders are signed for life, in football a player signs for say 3 or 5 years then he either signs another contract or is free to walk and find another club.
