  1. I genuinely can’t believe what I’m reading, so you expect the lad to miss one of his GCSE exams! I’m sure I can recall a full facility being granted for other 16 year olds doing their GCSEs in the past!
  2. Great win for the scorpions, particularly impressed with Ablitt and Harrison who don’t usually travel to well. All the best to Dan Gilkes - got to feel for the lad. As for team changes it’s fairly clear and obvious in my opinion as from the 1st June average change Jordan Jenkins can replace Gilkes. I know Jenkins hasn’t had an amazing start but he’s a quality rider and it was only last season where he banged in a bucket load of points at the EWR
  3. Any other team is the division would make use of the these points before they disappear, but will he, who knows?!
  4. Whilst I do like Mountain I have to agree. Given the current averages you could bring in Drew Kemp (or Anti Vuolas) for him and then suddenly the scunny team doesn’t look half bad!
  5. Strong performance from the scorpions last night albeit against poor opposition. Must say Ryan Ingram is continuing to impress me!
  6. Interesting reading Simon Lamberts post on social media he said ‘changes’ insinuating there will probably be more than one change
  7. Did anyone go in the bar after the meeting? Was there anything said, the centre green announcer teased an announcement but could have been pure waffling
  8. The lads 16 and just took his first ever win in the championship against Lewis Kerr, I think he’s more than entitled to celebrate!
  9. Well I thought scunny put in a spirited performance last night despite the tie being realistically over. Pickering class as usual whilst the young guns of Ablitt and Ingram both impressed me a lot!
  10. The track is usually quite grippy particularly around the the fence at scunny, maybe it was prepared slick due to the early season weather / coldness.
  11. Nice start to the season for the Scorpions with Picko leading from the front and remaining six riders doing a solid enough job! Suspect this will be the type of scorecard that Scunthorpe will produce more often than not when at home this season!
  12. Well the BSPA clearly do not class the National League as a professional league (which is more than fair and correct in my opinion). Lots of people get paid small fees across a range of motorsports it certainly doesn’t make them professional! No standalone National league rider can make speedway their day job! You only have to look back to the Covid times when the national league / national league level matches were allowed to race because it was classed as amateur!
  13. At the end of the day I hardly think people are not going to watch speedway because Nathan Ablitt has had an 8 percent reduction!! The sports struggling for a host of other reasons!!
  14. Well must have been applied an 8 percent reduction for missing a season whether people like it or not
  15. Simon Lambert it is. Ultimately on that average around scunny you couldn’t get much better. The side is clearly made to win at home and you can’t really argue with that
