  1. Apparently he said in one of the post match interviews in the cafe that he’s keen to stay next year!! I certainly hope he does!
  2. Yeah I would agree 5+2 riding at number 3 in his first meeting is a decent effort!
  3. Scunthorpe wouldn’t have been able to run R/R because Gilkes was dropping to reserve this month. I think it’s perfectly reasonable that you are allowed to replace an injured rider and thought it has always been the rule.
  4. Well Jacob Hook it is. As people have said it won’t be easy for him to jump straight In having not really ridden much this season however there’s no doubting he is a talented lad. Scunthorpe aren’t been blessed with options, the only other rider I could think of was Fredriksen who was one short of the Olympic rings at the EWR earlier this year. As for those saying why didn’t they change earlier I think the Scunthorpe promotion were looking at changes however since the recent strong run in form you aren’t gonna make any changes, they would be silly to change a winning formula!
  5. If a rider is injured (which Gilkes is) I believe you can make changes after the deadline
  6. Has he even come over to Europe this summer? Is he racing in Poland? Edit - looking at his Facebook page for his racing he rode in a meeting in Aus in June. Can’t imagine he would come all the way from Aus for a handful of meetings.
  7. Yeah Jonas fits, I think he would be a good signing for Leicester.
  8. I have just spotted Anti Vuolas in the crowd which is an interesting one!
  9. I genuinely can’t believe what I’m reading, so you expect the lad to miss one of his GCSE exams! I’m sure I can recall a full facility being granted for other 16 year olds doing their GCSEs in the past!
  10. Great win for the scorpions, particularly impressed with Ablitt and Harrison who don’t usually travel to well. All the best to Dan Gilkes - got to feel for the lad. As for team changes it’s fairly clear and obvious in my opinion as from the 1st June average change Jordan Jenkins can replace Gilkes. I know Jenkins hasn’t had an amazing start but he’s a quality rider and it was only last season where he banged in a bucket load of points at the EWR
  11. Any other team is the division would make use of the these points before they disappear, but will he, who knows?!
  12. Whilst I do like Mountain I have to agree. Given the current averages you could bring in Drew Kemp (or Anti Vuolas) for him and then suddenly the scunny team doesn’t look half bad!
  13. Strong performance from the scorpions last night albeit against poor opposition. Must say Ryan Ingram is continuing to impress me!
  14. Interesting reading Simon Lamberts post on social media he said ‘changes’ insinuating there will probably be more than one change
  15. Did anyone go in the bar after the meeting? Was there anything said, the centre green announcer teased an announcement but could have been pure waffling
