So after all this talk of the playoff format the one really weird scenario I could see happen here is Gorzow go out and win big with let's say 12-14 points meanwhile Wroclaw keep it close and lose to czestochowa by 2 or even find a draw then Torun are through? There is a path here where we could feel really sorry for this Wroclaw team

Also looks like we will get a sort of final here in heat 19

https://www.svemo.se/globalassets/svemo-forbundet/dokumentcenter/protokoll/speedway/2021/beslutsprotokoll_3_track-racing_gallande-elitserien_2022.pdf Must not be updated. Here is the document from when svemo announced the rules. Number 12 is about playoffs and translates to: 1st & 2nd directly to semifinals, 1st in the regular season table choose between winners of quarterfinals. Teams placed 3 - 6 to the quarterfinals, 3rd placed team choose between 5th and 6th.

Bet365 have Basso and Brennan rated quite highly at 12/3 and 7/1 to win today but at another bookie I can get 18/1 and 27/1 are those worth taking a stab at?

Yes fair Stojanowski won’t get a point but Hansen should at least be able to beat Zielinski in the two heats they face so passenger is maybe a bit harsh. What would you make the odds?

Can someone explain to me how Gorzow are deemed underdogs today against Torun on Bet365? I would have flipped the odds or at least made it a 50/50

Bad playoff format in my opinion. Much prefer it the way Sweden has done it the last couple of years where it's 1st and 2nd directly to semifinal and then 3v6 and 4v5 as the quarters (or 3rd gets to pick opponent between 5 and 6). The idea that you can lose a quarterfinal and still move on to the semis is illogical and if you are going to have 6 out of 8 teams to the playoffs then you need to have a bigger incentive in finishing higher up the table, which I think you create by having the 1st and 2nd placed teams directly to the semis. The positives of this is of course we get more meetings and having the best loser progress makes it so teams should keep fighting eventhough they've already lost.

Maybe you are right, that 2019 season wasn't good for him but I've seen enough good heats from him to at least say he is comfortably better than KK and Lindback. He was one point away from qualifiying to the GP series again this year which would have been interesting to see. I also realise he hasn't done so well in the international competitions but we are talking about a guy who has the 2nd best average in the ekstraliga this year, can't be to bad surely
