any updates on Adam Ellis?

Adam Ellis had a nasty fall at Birmingham. Hope he’s okay. Real shame with his form this season looks like a rejuvenating rider loving his speedway again.

Exactly my feelings. As much as I love seeing Ipswich win and competitive again after years. The thing that has me buzzed the most the last few seasons is having 1/2 of the best riders in the world at the club. I’d pay to watch Doyle and Emil race alone. Also bringing exciting young talents over like Rew always gets people interested. Speedway is has and always will predominantly be about entertainment and putting bums on seats as much as winning. Ipswich are a well run club and wouldn’t continue to persist to employ top riders (likely at significant outlay) if it isn’t of benefit to the club and the sport in the UK. The work the ipswich team/sponsors put into bringing Emil over here arguably made it possible for other clubs to start bringing back some of the bigger names.

No disrespect to Harris or Scotty both absolute icons of the sport in this country. However, I’d rather gamble on the best rider in the world coming in even if he doesn’t perform as well round foxhall as perhaps scotty would. We need to keep attracting new riders over to Britain and I would argue the same two riders guesting in almost every meeting for various teams throughout the season is an example of wrong with the sport over here currently. Need a bigger talent pool and bringing the top boys back here is only a good thing.

With our position in the table I’m hopeful this won’t come back to bite us. However, the lack of effort to even try to continue the meeting because the home team were getting whooped is pathetic. Rider safety always has to come first, I also get the it probably wouldn’t have been a great watch but to not even try to get to a point where a result was viable was very poor with one half arsed lap with the tractor in the middle of a downpour as opposed to when it stopped.

Certainly wouldn’t be against it with the form he’s in and always been a foxhall favourite. What sort of average would he be on?

What average would Anders Thomsen come in on? Or maybe Cierniak? could go for 2 solid riders as opposed to one big rider

What a superb win from the witches 1-7. Great track and great racing led to a proper night of speedway.

Emil’s equipment literally blew up mate.

NSS is a lovely set up and a nice track which has been great for British Speedway. But it’s a typical soulless modern GP style track. More overtaking on the straights then in the bend and is entirely reliant on who has the best equipment and set up. understandably set up for their top riders who are track specialists to dominate

Personally I wouldn’t want Barker and his baggage anywhere near Foxhall again regardless of average

Great performance from the Witches! All did their bit bar Riss(he was unlucky to lose out on a couple of points with Engine Failure). Even he looked at least more competitive

Tbf he’s really been improving everywhere he goes. That’s all you can ask of a rising star. Showing race craft at such a young age

Agreed! I’d rather we not bother making any changes if we’re just going to bring back Barker or one of the usual suspects. As you say We should use this as a chance to try someone new or bring someone back on a low average

Spot on mate! His point scoring can often flatter him with positions and points throw away throughout a meeting

Danny King on the receiving end of two 5-1’s and almost costing a 5-1 there by blocking Emil so he can get paid more points money. What a great captain…

This referee is abysmal. Shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the sport. Clearly trying to even up his other poor decisions against the witches. Wright should not be excluded there. What a shambles.

I would tend to agree if the referee hadn’t just ignored a far tougher more more dangerous move by Wright on Emil simply because he didn’t fall off(a rider does not have to fall for an exclusion). Not saying wright should have been excluded either just highlighting the inconsistency

Referees like this spineless clown are examples of why the sport is deems so unprofessional and such a shambles unfortunately.

Great ride by Brennan to hold off Emil there. Not sure how Wrights move on Emil was any less aggressive than what Doyle was excluded for previous race.

Shows how points can be deceiving. King on the wrong end of 5-1s against riders he should beat including reserves. Doyle going for match winning passes for a 5-1 and getting unlucky
