Steve At the end of the day Carter achieved no more on a speedway track than Nicholls has...indeed a darn site less...He was a great guy...but im sorry Bruce Penhall is dead right bout the guy Michael Lee was a natural....both unfortunately succumbed to bad things....... Dont forget when they were doing well in world finals there was 6 eastern bloc riders in the final...who were out of there depth...now we have the best 15 riders in the world every meeting... As for riders to take there place.....3 or 4 years mate....Nicholls...Harris...Bridger...Kennett,,...Roynon...Boxall.........Wright ...Auty...... Last few years The Danes have done well...but have been lucky with injuries...whereas Team GB ...Sweden and the Aussies have had injuries at the wrong time...thems the breaks i guess jaybea

Steve How can you say the only exciting rider for England is Harris......come on mate ...dont let the fact that you dont like someone cloud you're judgement...I am not a great fan of Nicki but i recognise he is a talent I dont understand it Harris is exciting after he beat Hancock from the back at Cardiff...yet Scott does the exact same thing in the World Cup and that aint exciting...come on mate......making yourself sound silly... As for exciting British riders like Carter and Lee,,,,,mmm great role models jaybea

Steve Good post mate...You are quite right ...you can support who you like....I do think you are wrong about Middlo and the Team GB team....As Hans said famously once..."what goes around comes around"....and in the next few years Team GB will become a major force and win the World Cup....I just hope the people not supporting them now will not start supporting them then jaybea

Shooting Star I understand the will to win...but i dont think any rider goes in to a race without wanting to win.....You are right about Harris....superb rider ...exciting to watch...as is Scott Nicholls...i think you agree jaybea

Shazzybird I was thinking the same.......why do people support other countries...... In all fairness if Mr Hone etc want to i have no problem with that...but why feel the need to be negative about Team GB....its not as if everyone on here is slagging the Swedes or the Russians...Indeed i think we all were overjoyed with the Russians last night... Not sure if it is a Nicholls and Kennett thing or just not patriotic jaybea

Steve I actually thought that was the stronger of the semi finals...because all teams had riders that could win races and racers unlike Saturdays where the Finns were woeful leaving the other 3 to see who were the best gaters and unsurprisingly the Danes walked it..must have thought it was xmas jaybea

Star Lady You support who you like love.......Funnily enough when they played the national anthem at Cardiff before the meeting i never heard any of the fans singing it either.....Dont really think singing the national anthem makes you want to do well for your country more......Tonight i saw 5 young men wearing the Union Jack with pride....and i was bloody proud of them.....Come on Team GB JAYBEA

As far as i am aware there are 11 GP's this year...and we have had 3...Scott has under performed IMO especially last night....however it is a marathon not a sprint...Save your catty im right your wrong opinions until that time...How are the poles doing by the way:-)))) jaybea

Pleasently surprised by Jagus...although if he misses the gate 5 times he will score nothing.....but took his chances well...no one was looking for him today...think it may be different from now on Hope Scott is ok after the crash...Im sure even Sub will forget his silly squabbles and wish him well after such an awful crash jaybea

Im guessing when Scotty rode at Berwick a couple of years ago...possibly he ignored Subedei or didnt sign an autograph or something...hence the somewhat worrying hatred and fascination with Scott Hope Scott does well tomorrow...but dont care if he does not ...He is still well worthy of a top 15 place...and is a born racer...something which Speedway misses these days...My personal hope is for a Gollob win jaybea

Subedei Like everything we disagree on ...it is all down to personal choice.......Im sure there are a lot of people who dont want to see chas and dave there......i bet you most of them will also be singing along to there songs when they play them...as the atmosphere at Cardiff does tend to make grown men and women act very strangely and embarrass there children :-)))) jaybea

Star Lady You have the right to have what opinion you like my dear...As does everyone.....However as i say...i dont believe there is any need for Subdei to call Scott such names as i believe all it does is devalue his argument and makes him look like a child......... I wonder if this argument was aimed at Antonio Lindback if we would all be okay with that type of name for him...I think not...that is why name calling is just so petty and not needed...Riders like Nicholls and Lindback risk there lives everytime they go on the track...dont really think they deserve that kind of name calling jaybea

Star Lady I have always been taught not to let one bad thing cloud your judgement of a person..... I know with some people Scott Nicholls will never be there cup of tea.....however i presume your disgust then spreads to all Speedway riders who have ever thrown a punch in anger.....N Pedersen...Crump ...Boyce.... The argument was actually about Subedei and his name calling of Scott Nicholls.........I disagree with him about his point however he is allowed his opinion.....but to call someone a begger because he missed out on qualification due to missing a round with a broken collarbone....surely even you can see is a little harsh jaybea

Star Lady Well you can think he expresses himself well....But when last night he abused some people on The live updates with some very bad insults ...so much so he has been suspended from both the updates and the ipswich forum...i think maybe you should look a little bit closer at some of his posts.... Maybe Scott Nicholls should not be in the GP'S...Maybe he should.....but at the end of the day he is.....and i find calling him the names that subedei does is un called for..... We are so quick to criticise promoters and the BSPA and ask why they dont listen to the fans.....perhaps comments like subedei makes gives you the reason promoters dont listen jaybea

As has been said before though...name a rider better than Scott who should be in the GP'S JAYBEA
