  1. It all sounds much too sensible to go ahead but it will be very interesting too see what does happen - surely the Premiership has died with at the moment only Ipswitch, Bellevue, and Kings Lynn have definitely said they want to continue
  2. Your problem here is that Poole and Glasgow are run by very successful businessmen who have no interest in losing lots of money just to keep the dying Premiership going. Where would you get the very large sums needed to persuade them to move up from? The Premiership has been living well beyond its means for years and is no longer sustainable. If the top level of British speedway is now to be roughly Championship level so be it, still a lot better than no speedway
  3. I doubt if Harry Redknapp knows enough about speedway to bring in new major sponsors so your comments are just speculation. Glasgow is owned by very successful businessmen who I can't see risking their future by joining the premiership until it would be viable for them. Again, why would Recar or Plymouth want to take the same risk? If this did happen, the Championship, as the most viable current league, would be so depleted it would be no better off than the current Premiership
  4. I thought one of the conditions of the TV deal was that there were at least 6 teams in the Premier league
  5. No need to be nasty about Craig who despite his problems has given a lot to British speedway over the years
  6. I'll hope Monarchs can run Berwick close or even better.
  7. if you swap Sheffield and Belle Vue with Leicester and Kings Lynn you might be nearer the mark !
  8. What about replacing Eric Riss with Craig Cook - I remember when he scored an easy 15 point maximum for you against Belle Vue He has recently returned from being off with a bad back and on wednesday top scored for Edinburgh at Oxford eating both Scott Nicholls and Sam Masters
