It was a challenge match that had no meaning so couldn't the riders be told, "big crowd in, a lot of first timers so keep the racing close and keep the crowd interested instead of arse down and go"? And hope the next meeting is good when they come back.
Great to see some speedway again but who forgot to open the Bell Lane gate before the meeting (open at the end) snd they ran out of programmes so if anyone has one they were going to throw in recycle bin?
Nygren could ride with his foot on the curb and his backwheel on the fence acting like a roadblock. Great team rider. (Although my father used to swear about him when he would win the second half)
The Shears years ( without Berry) 86-88. Louis,Pavitt & Western took over 89. Trouble is the bikes have changed so much over the years since the Louis group took over.
Edited to remove double post
I like Ben a lot and must take a lot of the credit for turning our season around but I feel he is past his best and can understand the reasoning for not using him next year. I wish him well for the future.
There was rumour of some track improvements over the winter. Is this still planned? Also, a while ago, the stand and boxes where going to be redeveloped. Is that still on hold?
