Ipswich vs Sheffield Monday 7th September

Best meeting of the season by far with plenty of passing. Lawson and Pickering had a real ding dong battle in Heat 13 which Lawson just couldn't make stick. Killeen look fast (which was a more than I can about our rising star who looks to have no confidence at Foxhall) if a little unsteady at times and done well to remount after his fall. The racing did not seem rushed but still finished at a decent time. Love watching Tobi hang of the bike and was flying again. I feared the worst in heat 14 but Tom and Kevin done good. Lovely touch by the Sheffield riders to go and thank their fans for their support. And a nice touch by the promotion to give season ticket holders a free programme albeit 3 weeks old. -

It would be a nice gesture if they gave season ticket holder's a free programme to partially compensate the £5 off. After all, I have paid full price for an out of date programme with a leaflet inside enough times. -
So, it seems after the longest and driest summers since nineteen canteen, a six team league will struggle to fulfil their fixtures before the current play off dates and so will loose my money should we (Ipswich) make it because I stupidly booked a holiday. How on earth did we fit in 28-30 meetings a season?

This level is at least 2 seasons too soon for him.

Lawson was banned for 7 days meaning He didn't miss any Ipswich matches just Poole.

There's is always two sides to a story and it depends which fence you sit on and too whom you believe. -
I always thought that if you redeclare you can go to 37 for the 6 riders so if we want to replace Lawson and Scott, add the remaining 4 together so say 23 points then you can use the remaining 14 points in which ever combination you like. But I may be wrong.

Is that any worse than what we currently have where riders can't turn the bike? Dan T on his excellent vlog(which I love) said he retired from heat one for fear of injury so there has got to be something better than sacrificing the first few heats until the track settles down. It costs enough per heat as it is.

I was under the impression that King hurt his ribs when He fell in heat 11 at Kings Lynn so is therefore a speedway related injury. -

And something that gets my back up is paying full price for a programme which is 2 weeks old with an insert. I realise that costs are involved but they should just charge enough to cover them. -
In the statement it says they look forward to sharing the full 1-7 on Monday.

As it was in the halcyon days of the late 60's and 70's

As much as I hold Scott in high regard, He is good on the smaller more technical tracks but I feel He would struggle on the larger (Belle Vue, Sheffield, Kings Lynn) tracks so I wouldn't choose to have him in the team.

Hope there is a good turn out but some supporters have to work as not all supporters have retired.
