I'm also staying at the Lodge by McDonald with my Family and some friends, and King jamie is with us also so thats 2 more for the forum piss up at the hotel

Would have to agree the Top teir has a fantastic view and if you want to you have the freedom to climb right to the top of the stadium these seat are more often than not empty. We have had top teir seating the last 2 years and are there again this year dont think we will sit anywhere else while the GP is run in Cardiff.

Nice to meet up with you again Conkers. Yet another brilliant weekend with some great racing have to agree that sunday heat 2 - it doesnt get much better than that!! Papa Bazarou had a look at your pics - the one of Frank Zorn is excellent I love it.

I'm going again and ML staying in Hoogaveen again. Hopefully meet up with some more Forum peeps again this year

I had a great weekend Racing was brilliant, Entertainment was brilliant, Atmosphere was brilliant, and the Fireworks were brilliant. Friday night met up with a61 to celebrate her Birthday in jumpin' Jacks that was great fun! Doing the conga round the night club totally wicked!! Saturday:- woke up to my mate snoring only had about 2 hours sleep. Mum and dad gave me my birthday card and money!!!!! got a few pressies at the hotel. Left the hotel about 1145, Started drinking at about 12 noon, met Tommy L and HLo1 in POW got bought a drink! saw Batesie and Mini, both came to say hi. Then met up with a61 and a few other friends. Met up with forum crowd at Sam's and didnt pay for a drink all afternoon, THANK YOU to everyone who bought me a birthday drink. Was nice to see old friends and meet new ones. another big thank you to a61, vicster, blaze and the hammer, and my friends who all gave me lovely pressies In the POW I didnt recognise B2BM, I have an excuse though Nick, it was my birthday and I was pissed! so I hope you can forgive me for not recognising you straight away XX During the meeting I ran right to the top of the 3rd tier to watch a few races with Matthew Wethers, Gizmo, Manxman, Gary Beaton and Barry Campbell all I can say is what a view! Gizmo and I were dancing to Greece Lightening at the end as you do! Was wicked! After the meeting went for 1 drink in POW before heading back to Sam's what a great end to a great day, met up with mates. Had a great laugh, Ended up slapping Batesie when he hurt my sunburn BUT he deserved it! Had a grand total of 4 hours sleep dunno how I made breakfast sunday morning. Got home at 930 sunday night and still recovering! All in all a fantastic weekend

Hi Discoll, Glad you enjoyed your 1st ice speedway meeting I enjoyed it as much as ever, definately better than last year. Still think these guys are absolute nut cases and I do love Antonin Klatovsky's wheelies!! We were standing just along from Theo on the saturday night on the 3rd bend, I had on my Monarchs jacket also along with 2/3 others in Monarchs jackets, sorry we missed you. ML unfortunately was too ill to travel so was unable to her her 1st Ice speedway experience she'll be there next year hopefully My dad would suggest Berlin for an outdoor Ice speedway meeting.

You are best to pre book the seating tickets as they sell out well before the event takes place. We stood on back straigh the first year and on the 3rd bend and have been either standing or sitting on the 3rd/4th bend most years. We were sitting last year on the 4th bend great view too! I would say the best views are from the bends if you can manage to get seats or standing there. Just watch out lumps of Ice flying at you!!!

Not taking a banner but will have my Scotland flag wrapped around my waist as I have done every year

Pammie, if you shout I'm sure we'll still hear you. Me loud? Never! :evil: I'm sure you could hear me in Cardiff from Bristol. But I think I'll be out partying on the friday night in Bristol, so won't have time to shout!!

We are staying in Bristol this year. :-( Which means I can't meet everyone for the friday night Birthday Party. :-( We will just have to do that on Saturday afternoon before the GP!
