  1. Then the League is even more unbalanced. I feel a clear and concise path should be selected for the 3rd tier of British Speedway. If its a case of "open house2 and win at all costs, then so be it. The future of British speedway riders is doomed. I am very surprised that Uncle Lennis has changed sides and gone over to join the likes of Bournmouth, Plymouth, Mildenhall. Jayne as you are on the inside of tent spitting out, so to speak. How do you see the future of the 3rd league of British Speedway ?
  2. Stand alone Clubs, i guess have a duty to their supporters to put together the best team they can to try and win things. The other clubs are their surely to try and develop young British ( hopefully) talent. If The likes of Rye, Scunny, KL, and Newport decide to "give in" and follow the likes of Bournmouth, Mildehall Plymouth etc, then surely the game is up.
  3. Short changed the public ? How do Scunny fans feel about having an over qualified rider take their young chargers to the cleaners ? How much damage does this kind thing do to a fellow Promotors business ? Even if the result is amended, the fans will have seen a massive away victory. Does anyone know if Uncle Lennie had clearance to use Nelson, or did he just fly a kite and hope ? If its the latter, then he should hang his head in shame. Maybe the Sport should introduce a points deduction, as in Football, for such actions. Plus slap a fine into the offending club.
  4. That would mean Uncle Lennie has given up on his principles of devoloping young Brtish talent for his Premier league side, just for a shot at top spot in the 3rd tier of British Speedway. I find that hard to believe. He is a well respected man who i am sure wouldnt lower himself to that level, would he ?
  5. Surely Uncle Lennie has first dibs on young Nelson, otherwise I am at a complete loss to understand why he would be included at Reserve for Rye. What on earth would they have to gain by including him, apart from gaining an away victory. I would find it hard to accept that Uncle Lennie would go down this route just to win a NL speedway meet.
  6. Ben you are having a laugh, Brundle good enough to ride Elite League, tell me you are joking. Mills as far as I am aware is also a KL asset, so when taking him away from Bournmouth, they are just recalling an asset. Can you offer any other reason how Matty Ford could have enticed him to Dorset ?
  7. Strange signing this. Brundle left the Kings Lynn National League side, because he wanted to gain a full time place in the Premier league or even the Elite League ( yeah right !) Why would a rider leave a Club that he lives within 10 miles of, to make a weekly journey to the South Coast,to join another Club operating in the same league ? I am sure there is a logical answer to the question.
  8. Ive had the odd Curry like that
  9. The Promotor at Weymouth ( Bartlett?) seems to get rather a lot of bad press. Is it justified ?
  10. I too enjoyed Simmo's forthright views, made a refreshing change. In particular his comment about Ronnie Russell and "Jobs for the boys". Also about the way tracks ae prepared these days. Buster Chapman came in for praise for the track he prepared at Peterborugh and WTC. Maybe goes to explain why a lot of riders cant compete with the Lynn riders at Saddlebow. As for Bruce Penhall's article, poor read I thought. Shame they have offered him more.
  11. I would like to see more stories on the top boys of the 2nd division...Im sure they would have some interesting tales to tell.
  12. Shame they didnt give the job to Rosco Then certain people on here would have a right field day.... Paul Daniels wouldnt have got us through from that group, with what we have to offer.
  13. I really enjoyed the book, i got the feeling everyone knew a little about him, but no one knew the complete package....
  14. Have to agree adder, that has go to be one of the poorest quailty international fields ever assembled. It just goes to show the lack of numbers at the top end of the sport.
  15. I dont really remember the story of Kennys sad demise.....will certainly be buying a copy of the book... His mind must have been in a real mess to shoot his wife and himself and to leave 2 little kiddies behind.......What were the reasons behind it ?
  16. Do paypal take Euro's ? as ive got a pocket full,
  17. You want more Millions to add to that over stuffed matteress you already have ? Now thats being greedy
  18. You Must have a good memory Shazzy. Read the DJ article, it seems that he made some good money out of Speedway, and maybe invested it well. Or maybe im reading to much between the lines. Remember him coming to Kings Lynn In place of Terry Betts, wasnt the most popular guy at the time....i wonder if his time was now, whether he would still refuse to bring more than the one bike to a meet. It use to be funny watching him come out on one of Mike Lee's bikes.
