  1. Have to agree with you, they are a solid team which (bad luck aside) should be unbeatable at home and will win a fair few away as well. They all look quick and controlled and for a change we now have a few that can gate
  2. Never thought I'd agree with a Somerset fan on anything , but you are spot on. The commentators were saying how Voyens was doctored for the Danes last Saturday and yet no-one was bothered, the Poles prepare their track how they like it and they are criminals. Stekkers, Andersen and Pedersen made themselves look foolish with there whinging. Some of the Polish passing was awesome, together with Cardiff the best meeting I have seen in a long while.
  3. Looking forward to meeting a few more forum members on Saturday. Diesel will probably want to find a pub showing the England game, so any help convincing him to stay at the POW will be greatly appreciated.
  4. If Trick has another disaster I really can see him pulling out of the series, I just can't see him finishing the series knowing he can only finish mid table at best. That would be a sad end to a brilliant career and I for one don't want to be present to see that happen. A really good day out will be ruined if the ginger whinger wins, so I'll be cheering Trick, Pedersen, Hancock etc. etc. I wonder if once again Crumps progression will depend on Adams and once again Leigh the lapdog throws an EF in favour of his buddy!
  5. According to the SW Argus, Tim Stone, Newport Promoter, said:''The Academy organisers have belatedly decided that they would prefer to run alongside a league or Conference Match.'' So reading between the lines it looks like they weren't happy running alongside the STRA.
  6. Trick didn't look at the races tonight, so a third was a pretty good result. Referee was terrible, as was Rico after his first ride. Well done to the track staff to produce the quality of racing given the state of the track 30 mins before the start, a few tracks over here could learn a thing or to! Plenty of passing on a track with a reputation for very little. Couldn't decide whether the ginger whinger was doing a Superman or John Travolta impression when he crossed the line.
  7. There is always one! As far as I'm aware, the only international currently being contested by England is the second test against Australia, perhaps your comments should be in General Discussions as this thread is about Team GB in the SWC
  8. No need to interview him or any of the others when Kelvin 'Aussie PR Man' Tatum is commentating.
  9. Yeah, and he looked the spitting image of Sam Dingle off Emmerdale
  10. Not me, if there is no Brit in the race I cheer on the Swedes, Danes, Poles, Yanks - anyone but a XXXX Aussie
  11. Two things struck me about this meeting. On Sunday every one associated with team GB, including the commentators, bigged up Steady and Bomber at every opportunity. Contrast that with the Aussies attitude to Watt and Shields who were talked down, topped off with Adams whinging that they now only had THREE GP riders in the side. On a less serious note, how long is it before Kelv applies for Aussies nationality, he's not my favourite commentator at the best of times, but last night his constant pro-Aussie comments really did my head in.
  12. You can just see Diesel behind Midnight Lady and I'm the one with his back to the camera - my best side apparently
  13. Floppy is great, one of the sports true characters, got his act together without losing his personality. I admire all speedway riders but ones that bank 30lb+ carp are the tops. Judgejules - speedway fan and crap carp angler
  14. Too true, holding the GP in Cardiff is an experience that could not be replicated any where else in the country. Where else could you pack in nearly 40,000 people with so many facilities on hand. Add Friday night at Newport (always an incident packed meeting) and the Welsh open on Sunday and its the number 1 weekend of the year.
