G'day all, just got back from the Gold Coast, I thought the 1st round was an absolute thumper on track except the grading, got in to look at the track @ 7am sat & straight away I knew the kids (3 & 4) would'nt be able to come to the meet (not child friendly like gosford).Got there a bit late 6.30pm & jagged a good pos in the stand. Didnt get to meet any of you. Maybe tonight or next week in mildura. Anyways, I've only just got enough time for a SSS, then i'm off to gosford. Hooroo....

G'day fellas, I'm heading up to Labrador for the 1st round of the Oz titles. It will be my first time there, not exactly sure of its location as yet but judging from your post BH, I should pack the chairs & a blanket for the kids. Does anyone know who has been given the wild card for this round & the 3rd round? Ben Shields was given the wildcard for rd 2, Gosford.

Great news Peter, do you know if it costs any extra to get than usual on sky & do you (or anyone else) know the times, dates & sky channel to tape (vcr) the upcoming SWC meets, as my grand inlores live in the UK & I would love for them to tape & send them over but in the past have had a bit of trouble with the settings, channel etc. Your help or anyones for that matter would be greatfuly appreciated. Cheers....

Top stuff Oz, hope Mick & Rod can get it all to come together as we the australian speedway fans deserve it, it fires me up just thinking about it mate. As for your trip to catch a few GPs in UK/europe, are you travelling on a packaged deal tour or winging it on your pat. I've been thinking about doing something similar next year after attending last years Oz GP. I'd also want to catch our boys in the SWC. Anyways, I just hope the Oz titles can be what they can be, the best national on the face at the moment...

I might put this on another thread when confirmed or maybe Sir Lunchalot or someone else can confirm the dates for the Oz titles are as follows January 10 - Brisbane Exhibition Ground Jan 17 - Gosford & Jan 24 Mildura? Great news Ozyace. Is there anywhere or one you or SL knows to get confirmation of these Oz title dates as I'll be putting in for leave & hopefully get to all of them, just hope all our boys overseas get home & take part to make it the best possible title, as without a doubt, our national title could be as good as any meet in the in the world with the talant we have at the moment. GP's included.

thanks SL, Ive seen Jorganson ride a few times & he (at 40 something) only just missed out on the final at the Oz titles. Now that our boys are all back over seas & the unfortunate injury to Mick Poole, I think nobody will get near him.

Fingers crossed, I'm in the running for $18 mil tonight & if my numbers come up I'll be off to follow the GP tour over there (should have enough to shout a few fellas down here along). Back to reality, the Oz 02 Gp was a great spectacle, sure more bums on seats would have added to the atmophere but it was the best array of talent I've seen since I was a pup & all the big boys from overseas would come down annually for our season, THAT INCLUDED OUR OWN GUNS!. Even if we don't have a GP here if someone with a few bob, a bit of ticker & some passion for the sport could get the talent back down here (test matches etc) I believe the crowds would come flooding back. I know it's all about $$$ but they did it in the old days so why not now? Maybe after tonight I'll be the man for the job(touch wood). Anyways, I,m off to Gosford to watch Mick Poole flog everyone, oh & the NSW sidecar titles. HOOROOOO...........
