  1. Barring play-offs the Swedish fans only get seven home meetings a season. To have one of them ruined deliberately by Smederna will surely see claims for compensation. I feel very sorry for any track suffering financially but sending weakened teams away to save money and ruining the hosts' business those nights while running a full strength team at home goes against the fundamental principles of league racing.
  2. It's rather splitting hairs. It was an NL-level match staged on a PL track. It would a rather long stretch of logic even by BSPA standards to classify that as a PL standard meeting. If someone tried to stage that match on an NL track with Etheridge included it wouldn't happen.
  3. I'd have thought it was obvious that I was commenting on the ruthlessness at Zielona Gora, illustrated by Doyle's over the top riding and the case of the meeting where riders were forced to carry on racing through a snowstorm. Yes Doyle has always been a forceful rider but not reckless like this. When you look at their fans behaving like a cheap imitation of football thugs, with their pretty "Falubaz Hooligans" banner and the behaviour of a certain representative of their 'supporters' on here it doesn't paint a very pleasant picture of the place or its attitude. Anyway, what matters is Rempala. My wife witnessed at Hackney what happens when riders lose their helmets. I pray this time the effects are not fatal.
  4. That's twice now Doyle has blatantly felled a rider. Unlike the Pawlicki incident he only needed one hit this tome to fell the opponent. It's more like watching banger/stock car racing than speedway. We've seen previously in the snow how ruthlessly riders are treated at Zielona Gora and this does rather show the results. On a day with such awful news coming from Rybnik someone needs a word. At least Doyle was duly excluded this time. Very concerned for Rempala - sounds awful.. I pray it's not as bad as feared.
  5. Look guys, racers and royals gives a full preview of the weekend action with links to websites that list feeds. It's very thorough and I would suggest you scroll up and use the information he so kindly provides. Think I'll just concentrate on watching the racing today if all we're going to get here are lazy requests for links. See you later.
  6. None, sadly. It's not that simple using Android boxes. There is a Polish add-on for Kodi but it's not working currently.
  7. And so we leave Messrs Hougaard and and Walasek to chat about the good old days at Leicester while they continue to search for the body of the home team manager and move on to some rather more competitive speedway in about 90 minutes' time. I'm off for my belated luncheon and a lengthy lie down while my nurse attempts to calm me down after all this excitement.
  8. If this merged league holds together next year I can see Krakow joining Opole and Rawicz as only staging home matches. For those unfamiliar the two lower Polish leagues were forced into a merger this year due top lack of numbers. The differences between top and bottom are stark. I can't see it lasting in this form. It's not all big bucks and huge success over there. I expect there will be an extended interval while they try to find where the Krakow manager is hiding.
  9. Changes in the air at Krakow obviously, time to call up Grzegorz Nopointski next week I think.
  10. All they have to do now is issue maps to the Krakow team so they know where the first bend is.
  11. Billy the Bowser's has been out a few times. I think he's going to be the tac sub in the next race. It seems like the Nowinski family has adopted the whole Krakow team.
  12. Just took a look at telewidzjada's website - he's talking about charging for 'premium' services which looks pretty fatal for that resource. The Kodi link to nsport isn't working either :-( Thanks r&r. now back to work!
  13. So, onto the big question - can Nowinski defeat his own name?
  14. All you need is in racers & royals' posting above. You need to watch a TVP3 regional feed, not TVP Sport. To save you having to scroll up, try here: http://tvpstream.tvp.pl/
  15. Bewley rode on Friday and scored 18. I think there's some confusion with Joe Lawlor who at 15 is eligible for an NL match but is under-age for an NL-style match on a PL track and thus couldn't ride on Friday. The general minimum, age is 16 but there is an exemption to allow 15 year olds in the NL since it is deemed a training league. While Friday's meeting did involve NL standard teams it was not held on an NL track so I take it the exemption did not apply. In the same way Jye Etheridge would not have been eligible to ride if the match had taken place on an NL track as an official fixture.
  16. No, British through and through and have yet to even visit the USA. Following this sport for 45 years you tend to pick up on what's going on in other countries. Hope the information is useful to you and any other readers here. Pleased to encounter someone here new to the sport and enjoying what they see.
  17. No rider has ever quit the Grand Prix series mid-way through. I don't see why Chris should have to become the first just to please supporters on a forum. He's there by right and has no obligation to others for whatever level of success he achieves apart from his support team, sponsors and fans.
  18. I can tell you we need peace and an end to world hunger. Do I have to now tell you how to achieve it?
  19. And the cost. If the increased revenue covers the cost, great. If not, who picks up the bill for the losses? - certainly not the fans whingeing about the lack of 'names'.
  20. Now now, you have been told off by someone from Poole - you must stay told off, no excuses.
  21. Typical of Poole to put their own selfish needs above those of the sport in Britain as a whole. Form a queue for those souvenirs, especially the Matt Ford doll with the sun shining out of his backside! (The alternative model with a magazine seller had to be cancelled - the focus group is still in therapy).
  22. NSport+ in Poland and CMore Sport in Sweden both repeat league matches two or three times in the week following them. On match day there are two kinds of links offered by the streamers - one is just a temporary link to a channel showing the match live and the link ends when the match does. The others give 24/7 links to the actual channel, thus allowing you to tune into the repeat showings. Here are two program guides: http://www.cmore.se/kanaler# - the channel most likely to show speedway is CMore Sport but I've noticed some matches are on CMore Live. The only way of accessing CMore 24/7 is via the Kodi program which does complicate matters. Links were provided by Steve Shovlar in one of the Swedish League threads. Here's a Polish program guide: http://www.teleman.pl/ NSport+ and TVP Sport (who carry the Nice League) listings are near the bottom. The Polish word for speedway is zuzel which translates as slag (stop grinning at the back of the class, boy). Using a browser with auto-translate like Google Chrome is EXTREMELY useful. Getting these two is much easier, telewizjada gives 24/7 access. Links are given by racers & royals regularly. The Polish Ekstraliga matches then seem to be on mid-morning and afternoon Mondays so early morning there. There are usually later showings later in the week. TVP Sport usually carry a repeat of the Nice Polish League (the second division) late on Sunday nights over here, about 5-6 pm in NYC. The reason there's not been much on You Tube is that there were no league matches last weekend and the week before only one of the matches, Gorzow v Torun made it onto You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okLFdb15dbQ I can't stress enough how useful it is to follow racers & royals postings about matches and coverage here and in the Polish match videos 2016 thread. Hope this helps. I see r&r has posted this weekend's live links while I typed this. By the way, you can watch live racing for real in upstate New York, albeit at a much lower level and just individual, not in teams. The main events are in California - details of all US motorcycle speedway is here: http://www.speedwaybikes.com/ Your next big race in NY State is at Champion Speedway in Owego on May 29th. Details here: http://www.speedwaybikes.com/tracks/owego_ny.htm Why not give it a try?
