  1. RE: The Coaches Do any of the Coventry supporters know if there is a car park close to where the coach departs from? and is it open until the early hours of the morning? Why can't they have picked up from the Coventry stadium? one or two parking places there.
  2. Happiness is and always will be 40 - 38
  3. i suppose you'll want to add Ivan Mauger and Ole Olsen to that list aswell... And Anders Michanek as well. Anyway, I was hoping Crump would win after all the bad luck he's had the year, but fair dos to Nicki. You can't say he didn't deserve on the evidence of the night's racing. Next year, Crumpy! Newcastle are not claiming Anders - He started at Long Eaton.
  4. And does anyone know how to get there from Prague station?
  5. I was gonna say the same thing, Go Long Eaton Archers and Kid Bodie.
  6. Quite right Liontamer, I drive past most days and my memories are stired :-(

    Long Eaton

On Wednesday night at the monthly save the stadium meeting the prospective new owners were in attendence. Martin Margott and Ian Anderson are Essex based businessmen who are very close to agreeing a deal to buy the stadium. Speedway will be running hopefully by 2005, the track will be FIM standard 300 metres long. I will post more information when I find out the details.
  8. Has anyone been to Bydgoszcz before?, I want to go this year, can anyone give me any tips re: travel, accommodation etc.
  9. Easyjet do fly there Acef. Because I'm flying with them. You're not spelling Prague wrong, are you :?: Just had a look at the Easyjet site and theres definately flights left(well from Stansted, there is). Easyjet and BMIBaby fly from East Midlands Airport - I am flying BMI on Saturday morning - try there web sites.
  10. Information gained from the monthly 'save the stadium' meetings, next one is 5th March, i'll let you know the latest news then.
  11. Have they got/do they need planning permission for speedway? Planning permission is not needed for motorsports - the council have included the stadium as a sporting venue in the 10 year business plan. Planning permission will be needed for the grandstand and other development work, meetings have already taken place with the council re this, apart from local objections there should be no problems.
  12. You will all be pleased to know that Long Eaton Stadium is at last on the verge of being bought, it should be redeveloped and ready for tapes up in 2005 - maybe 2004 for some open meetings if we are lucky.
  13. Booked the flights and hotel today. Just need the tickets for the stadium now.
