Mike, if Garry had the resources Matt Ford gives Neil he would be a far better manager than Mr Middleditch. He is so tactically aware it's unreal. He talks through most scenarios and how to cope with them on the way to matches, he always encourages his riders telling them where to ride on the track. And I bet he is already has a few team permutations for next year. The final thing is he would never take a rider out to the pub before an important meeting.

Find it amusing that Matt Ford is accused of cheque book speedway. Like most business men he has a budget to work to and he does that with a lot of success. I admit his budget might be more than a lot of speedway promoters.
