  1. Let's hope it rides ok, that's the main thing now!
  2. Phil is their media rep isn't he or something of that ilk?
  3. But gustix, surely the words quaint and speedway don't go together, well I don't think they do, nor is it old fashioned unless he refers to every sport as old fashioned, football, cricket, snooker, darts etc etc ............
  4. Good meeting between Bydgoszcz and Gorzow, Bydgoszcz win it in heat 14, will Iversen get his max He did Nasty fall for Andersen!
  5. I'm not slamming him, just want to put him right in his thoughts about speedway, show him it's not what he thinks, don't you agree? I said in my first post that he reckons he'll go again so that's good Surely journalists should always be embraced by clubs, if they come out with the right words they could do wonders for the club!
  6. Well if the renown IMG can't get their product any tabloid coverage then I dunno how a Barry Hearn type person will do it!!! Having said that if someone could market the riders, give them nicknames, hype them up, play certain tunes, get them into character and do the same with the fans, how great it was to hear the fans at Berwick getting behind their team, singing, hyping the meeting up, making atmosphere . . Lynn is a morgue compared to that, we're like. mice unless there is a decent race and there ain't many of those in a meeting eh!
  7. Yes of course, didn't know that was why the pits are where they are. I might do as u suggest re google earth! I certainly don't think bloody quaint is a good word for our league speedway, get that journo on a bike, he'd find it far from QUAINT!!!!! Come on Brum, do what u need to do to put the bloke right!!!!
  8. Well he enjoyed it enough to go back, hope he wasn't joking! I like the presentation at Brum, they get their fans going, the riders respond to the fans and vice versa. There are two things I dislike about Brum, where their pits are, pity they aren't on the 1st bend so they aren't completely closed off to the public during the meeting and of course the viewing with only half the stadium open to the public!
  9. My goodness, so the Falubaz management condone the behaviour of their fans, amazing!
  10. As it's their competition and nothing to do with the BSPA, why didn't BSI announce that Bomber was the Cardiff wildcard back in October when they made the decision?
  11. If you read what Shovlar says yeah!! I'm pretty sure that if we got 10 out of 15 exciting, passing galore between 4 rider races the crowds would go up cos people would be waxing lyrical over their night out to everyone!!
  12. Me too and the quality of this (too many processions) is the one thing that drives people away from speedway, the authorities need to concentrate on how to produce better racing, that's all imo ..............
  13. Me neither, it's usually because they don't enjoy speedway enough any more to justify spending their money on it!! The rest is just excuses! Along with keeping the scores closer, nobody thinks the TR rule has anything to do with riders getting their fair share of rides, particularly the reserves and promoters having to pay their top men for extra starts like they had to with the old tac sub rule?
  14. How come there is nothing can't Tai's win in the Sunday papers, thought IMG held some sway?
  15. Sooo fast Tai and gating great, winning combo Good on ya!!
  16. I feel exactly the same re the scariness of NL, as soon as a couple of them get close to one another I have kittens BUT they have to learn and practice makes perfect eh soooooooooo if we can afford it and can get over that onedgessness then at least it helps their careers and us in the long run ...............
  17. I haven't a clue which way it works re the WTC, do Lynn pay them or vice versa?
  18. Is Scott getting at the BSPA or BSI? It's not a BSPA comp after all, no skin of their nose if Scott doesn't race, just devalues the WTC!
  19. NL entry is £10, it's too expensive, simple as ............. but of course with the amount of people who attend, I guess they have to charge it to cover the costs. I think more should be made of our local boys, perhaps Matt could tell us where they live and interview them, I do miss the rider interviews and if they're local boys it means so much more ................. this is where we miss Kevin Moore, he has been around at Lynn for yonks and is obviously passionate about the sport and could easily interview the riders, whereas Matt is brand new to the job although to be honest if he oughta have a go at interviews, it's the only way he will get to know the riders??
  20. Oh my goodness, how sad, condolences to Emil and his family!
  21. The BSPA agreed to sell the GP rights to BSI, thought that was the FIM?
  22. Promoters are certainly not all singing out of the same hymn book!!!
