  1. Yes Skidder, that's certainly what the meeting was about!
  2. At least I added to the viewing figures, that's a bonus for them ;-) Seriously though, our leagues are the backbone n speedway, these commercial companies are not welcome in my book! Having said that IF this Polish company are a rival to BSI and IF they can wrestle the World Championship off them and do the right thing by the world's leagues then I'll back them 100% but I don't know that!
  3. I had noticed that BSI are against this competition. They obviously think they will steal their thunder in some way. Of course they could easily start an unofficial world championship of their own I guess . . So how much has this new company got to do with the Polish Speedway Clubs?
  4. Didn't have the slightest bit of interest in this meeting although I did watch it, total nothing meeting for me, it certainly was NOT a World Pairs Final!!! Not keen at all in this new development, having BSI involved in the sport is bad enough but now this, oh dear!!!!
  5. I'm with the BSPA then! This Pairs event is a nothing event, all that is riding on it is money!
  6. It seems my enthusiasm for the sport has rubbed off on many of my work mates and customers Having said that I only live 10 miles from Norwich and the amount of people who used to go there and remember it like yesterday is legendary
  7. I certainly didn't expect Robert to win every race last night, just wanted to see him race full stop! Surely most people felt the same? I'll say it again that it's so good having so many of the team being local boys and with so much potential :-D Congratulations on the Stars going to the top of the league!!
  8. So nice not having any of these gripes and worries, just don't go :-D
  9. When you say it's "our" national event, who is "our"? It has no affiliation with british speedway at all!
  10. I don't suppose the riders will criticise the hands that feed them too much . . .
  11. That's a surprise, you might as well be eh!
  12. Let's hope it rides ok, that's the main thing now!
  13. Phil is their media rep isn't he or something of that ilk?
  14. But gustix, surely the words quaint and speedway don't go together, well I don't think they do, nor is it old fashioned unless he refers to every sport as old fashioned, football, cricket, snooker, darts etc etc ............
  15. Good meeting between Bydgoszcz and Gorzow, Bydgoszcz win it in heat 14, will Iversen get his max He did Nasty fall for Andersen!
  16. I'm not slamming him, just want to put him right in his thoughts about speedway, show him it's not what he thinks, don't you agree? I said in my first post that he reckons he'll go again so that's good Surely journalists should always be embraced by clubs, if they come out with the right words they could do wonders for the club!
  17. Well if the renown IMG can't get their product any tabloid coverage then I dunno how a Barry Hearn type person will do it!!! Having said that if someone could market the riders, give them nicknames, hype them up, play certain tunes, get them into character and do the same with the fans, how great it was to hear the fans at Berwick getting behind their team, singing, hyping the meeting up, making atmosphere . . Lynn is a morgue compared to that, we're like. mice unless there is a decent race and there ain't many of those in a meeting eh!
  18. Yes of course, didn't know that was why the pits are where they are. I might do as u suggest re google earth! I certainly don't think bloody quaint is a good word for our league speedway, get that journo on a bike, he'd find it far from QUAINT!!!!! Come on Brum, do what u need to do to put the bloke right!!!!
  19. Well he enjoyed it enough to go back, hope he wasn't joking! I like the presentation at Brum, they get their fans going, the riders respond to the fans and vice versa. There are two things I dislike about Brum, where their pits are, pity they aren't on the 1st bend so they aren't completely closed off to the public during the meeting and of course the viewing with only half the stadium open to the public!
  20. My goodness, so the Falubaz management condone the behaviour of their fans, amazing!
  21. As it's their competition and nothing to do with the BSPA, why didn't BSI announce that Bomber was the Cardiff wildcard back in October when they made the decision?
